Is neither of today's games on FTA? Doesn;t look like GEM is screening any RL today.

I think you will find most peopel would say that a code played in every major capital city with strong national media coverage and strong national development framework at Jnr and grass roots level is a national game. There is no such thing as THE national game but only one eyed fans would be stupid enough to suggest that AFL does not have a stronger presence in more States and Territories than RL, sadly.

Yep. It's a joke. Everyone with a tv set should be able to access the nrl anzac day match, particularly in nsw and qld.

Yeah. Good Friday was great. At the old's house we could just throw on the footy. Every public hol should be like that. If 9 doesn't want the extra game. Only show 1 Friday night the extra Sat night.

As long as Ch 9 aren't showing these games Im happy just to watch it on Fox.

Id rather hear Daley carry on about the Dragons, then Gould whinging to Rabs about a knock on for 20 minutes and David Hasslehoff being booted off Celebrity Apprentice.

The sad fact is there is nothing to watch on FTA this afternoon except AFL.
Just like last Saturday, which you reckoned was great

Can't afford it huh?

Perhaps if you spent less time being a tough keyboard hero abusing everyone and thinking that it is some kind of internet forum victory to do so, and got yourself a decent job, you could enjoy watching games with zero ads on foxtel as well.

Off you go champ. Do yourself a favour
Internet access isnt that draining on the budget.

I do find it interesting that the priority on spending ones wage should be watching Pay TV, over less important things like mortgage, food, water, kids etc. I bet you'd be the only person in the homeless shelter with an Austar dish? Spastic!

What's even more hilarious is that he made a thread a few days ago whinging that he couldn't watch his usual 8 games of Rugby League on the weekend. DrownedRat was whinging when he can't afford the access to watch all 8 anyway.
Watch? Did I say anything about watching NRL you f*cking dope?

Shouldnt you be washing the car on your day off you dumbass maggot?

Not everyone........only sooky NSW fans pretend not to be interested anymore.
So you cant detect sarcasm while you clean toilets? I certainly hope you can detect pubic hairs on the seat.

As an AFL fan I'm loving watching Collingwood v Essendon right now.

As an NRL fan I'm pissed off at the dickheads who negotiated this tv rights deal because I don't have another game of footy to look forward to after this on FTA like there should be.

No ifs or buts, FTA ANZAC day has to be on the agenda for the next deal.

Well it would be.

I'm certain the ARLC have seen that RL fans crave live footy and this will be taken into account in the next TV deal.

If the AFL can have their ANZAC Day game live on FTA around the country then so can we.

Which FTA channel can I see this live coverage of the AFL?

The fundamental difference that separates top tier sports (NRL,AFL) from 2nd tier sports (Union,Soccer) is FTA coverage. Rugby has been left behind, A-League didn't capitalise on it's momentum. The primary reasons for that is lack of FTA coverage.

The AFL has created the new standard in what is good FTA coverage. That is 4 live games everywhere for every Australian in every state to watch if they choose. The NRL/ARLC simply must negotiate for the same.

I was very concerned by recent quotes Gallop gave suggesting people have gotten "used to" delayed sport. I suggest David comes into the 21st century.

There needs to be 4 live FTA games in the next contract nation wide, including every major game like ANZAC day.

In NSW and QLD on 7mate, 7 elsewhere.
Dunno what is sadder, Blazza asking the question or you knowing it!

Of course, I could asnwer the question my doing my research. However if my life sunk to such a low ebb to actually make effort to research how to watch AFL, I'd love to be euthenased.

As an AFL fan I'm loving watching Collingwood v Essendon right now.
You mean, as an androtrop you're watching Collingwood v Essendon right now.
