At worst I hope there's an agreement where Fox get one game and the FTa network gets the other and it alternates year-to-year.

At best BOTH games are on FTA. If both games were shown LIVE nationwide on FTA it would potentially increase the value of the TV deal.

If you make all games live then broadcasters won't pay as much as they can't fit as many ads in. So what do you do, can't have it both ways.

There was a discussion elsewhere on the forum plenty of places for ads. Do you need 5 replays after a try? Have 1 then an ad. there is 90 secs to convert plenty of time for a 30 sec ad. Before dropouts. pop up ads on the bottom of the screen. All ways to throw in ads without interrupting the game.

We should follow the NFL as much as possible just like them. All games on Public Hols should be live on FTA. We need to get maximum coverage at peak times.

It is a disgrace that we have so little footy on FTA in general, live or delayed. Many of my mates have started watching other sports(AFL) espsecially on Saturdays, with their kids, because there isn't any League on, and most of them weren't interested AFL to begin with.

What's more concerning is the kids are now liking it and that is just from a small sample of my circle of friends. I'm sure that this scenario is not unique out there in Aussieland.

Exactly right, I am lucky, as so are others here who have foxtel, but there are millions of families that don't. They are the ones that are being courted by other free to air sport and that ends up being the next generation.

It's not rocket science. The League have to fix this in the next deal or they will ultimately pay the consequences down the track. Once the genie is out of the bottle good luck getting her back in.
