Now I've just read this......
Two things that stood out:
"Buzz Rothfield"
"He is about to lose his first grade position"

It's THE f**kWIT
It's not Flange jnrs position, he's filling in until the better player gets back from injury.

The Sunday Telegraph can reveal Sharks halfback Kyle is likely to be joining the Roosters before the June 30 transfer deadline because he is about to lose his first-grade position to superstar Shaun Johnson, who is returning from injury.

Such a parasite, I realise it's his job but why does he attach himself to us?

He's like a ten inch goiter.. Needs to be removed asap.

This is quite a fascinating situation. It was Flanno as Head Coach who signed Johnson.

So, the only conclusion I can make is -

A) Flanno planned to give Kyle 5-10 games this season as “part of his development” which would make sense. I don’t believe he is ready for a full season of NRL.

B) There was thought that Flanno would release Chad and play Kyle at 7 which would be incredibly selfish and stupid.

Kyle has performed his role magnificently, but he is not yet ready for a full time role in the No.7 - I absolutely guarantee that his performances later in the season will fade out through fatigue which is why playing 5-10 is perfect for this season and he is learning from the best.

Unless a deal is brokered that significantly strengthens our playing roster - we don’t let him go, particularly to a premiership contender. It would be a different scenario perhaps if it was a bottom team.

5 weeks ago we all thought he was shit & not ready for first grade.

Agree, his old man thought the same when he signed Johnson.

No way should we let him go until his contract is up...he’s probably costing us SFA!

Wouldn't it be a case of him signing to the Sombreros by 30th June,.then completing 2019 with us?

No. Sign to fill in for Keary. Backup for Keary. Learn off Cronk.

I suspect there is more to the Keary brain scramble

Robbo has his eye on Jnr, has done for a while.
Like jnr Brailey , like -'insert young gun.
Why is it always the Roosters come into the conversation when a young gun has a break out season? It's because the NRL is a phukn corrupt business backed by rich clubs like the rooters. The salary cap system and the contract issues are broken

FJ is a contracted player. Why would Cronulla let him go? Would need significant compensation to even consider it. We are very weak on the wings and they have 4 NRL quality wingers.

We dont want to be giving the Roosters Flanno without a winger in return and Tupou would be the one, with them paying any additional freight.

The other concern if Flanno goes mid season, is that Trindall will be needed to be moved into the top 30, and i am not sure he is up to FG yet if Chad/SJ get injured, i dont want us moving Moylan into the halves as coverage

Ryan Hall would be the only one I’d want.

Ikavalu and Tupou are barely better than what we have.

B Morris at a pinch depending on how he comes back from his injury

Hall is a quality international. Still coming to grips with NRL but has the ability.

Tupou has ability and is good under the high ball. Questionable mental strength.

Not sure if Brett is physically right.

Ikavalu has shown promise but isn't a step up on current.

I'll put my hand up and say I thought FJ was average. My thoughts weren't based solely on this year but how he played for the Jets last year and the U20's.
I was wrong, the kid is showing so much more than what I thought he had.

no I just think he is a guy who trys to better than he did the week before , every time. He is a slow burner that hasnt had the luxury of a cronk to be surrounded by Rep level players in every game he plays.
Don't get me wrong, I'm loving his control of the game.
I'm thinking the time he played with Jimmy is paying dividends.

You wait for them to mature, then wait for consistency, then consistently at their best, here we are.

Well done Chad, I think his tour of NZ did him the world of good.
