Good - nice course down that way... Paradise Springs (?)but its full of water traps I recall... its been a while since I dug up a course.

New question.

Name the halfback who playedfor St Georgeagainst Great Britain in 1962.
Its generally regarded (some say unfairly)that his inexperience led to Saintslosing the match.

Paradise Springs
No, not Paradise Springs, though it too is owned by the same company that owns Robina Woods.

I thought Billy Smith played that year. But he never cost them the game, thepoms gave em an almighty thumping.

No not Billy Smith. I dont think he started till the next year.

In any case, this player was a stand-in and not the regular halfback... appreantly he was way in over his head. GB had a champion side in those days. Its been argued that he costSaints the match becuase the pommie forwards targeted him.

No.. not John Riley... he played in the centres.

It shouldnt be that hard but maybe it is. In the same game were players like forward Billy Wilsonwho wastaken out early thereby placing the young halfback under even more pressure. He became scared and predictable and kept shifting the ball to the five eighth without hesitation.... so the pommies knew the next target was Poppa Clay.

More clues:
The year was 1964. I was 17.
I played for Balmain against St George in the 1964 GF.
I took the League to court.
I played for Australia in 1967.
