Seriously, how f**ken critical can you guys be? i dont think any one on this thread has a right to comment on the show for a couple of very important reasons.

1: Not one person on here has Produced a TV Show
2: Not one person on here has been in front of a camera week in week out
3: Not one person on here would have the ability to write for a tv show...

The idiots who run the Footy show need to look at the AFL Footy Show. It is the football and the players that provide the content. A little comedy here and there is good - but that Brohman thing and the show with Sami Lukis (god - how relevant is she!?).

Some idiot somewhere (in the days when Manly managed the comp) thought Fatty drunk in a pub was so funny that this would be a good basis for a TV show. Unsure why. He's not funny or witty. The piggy face and the juvenile headwobble are the stuff of end of year parties. It was funny for an episode or two originally mainly because he was so incompetent. But now, it's dinosaur stuff.

NRL footballers are good footballers. They are not comedians, TV talents, philosophers or rocket scientists. Voss, Vautin, Jonhs, Sailor, Fenech need to understand this.

You don't have to be an expert to not like a TV show.

I like it though, anything football related on FTA TV is fine by me.

It's not a variety show - it's a footy show first and foremost.
If you want to talk expertise, then get Vautin, Sailor etc to do some standup with their own material in front of 2,000 people. If they're any good, then they can do comedy skits on TV.

I haven't watched the show for years and didn't watch it last night. Thanks for the updates on the new version. I'm not interested in watching a variety show on league.

I suppose there are viewers that enjoy the show as It must rate quite well for it's time slot. At least 9 has the Sunday footy show and the roast.

75% of the show is interesting, 25% is ordinary, what show isn`t ??? I think they do a great job, Fatty & Sterlo are great hosts and I like the humour that Dell and Brohman provide. Dell is a good addition, he mixes his light hearted humour with his good football knowledge and we still get expert opinion from the likes of Joey Johns as well as plenty of interviews with the current players. I think it`s the best show on television, always has been and always will be !!!

And who said the AFL Footy Show is better ??? You are kidding, that Marmalade bloke is the biggest derek to have ever graced a TV set !!!

He might have been the greatest player of all time, but expert opinions and Johns dont mix. He is suited to being a skills coach, but he is useless on TV. He is like his brother and doesnt want to step on toes or say anything remotely controversial

Joey is not TV material. He speaks monotone and sends you to sleep. I dont give a flying f**k that he was the greatest player to play and invented the air that goes into the football...on TV he is useless. He is there for name value only.
