I thought with yet another New South Welshman (Tim Armstrong) making his debut for an interstate side today, it might be a bit of fun to make the full list of blokes from New South Wales propping up interstate cricket.

Mainly, because the Blues have been so ordinary this year it's to make myself feel better more than anything. :p

Queensland:

Ryan Harris
Peter Forrest

South Australia:

Daniel Christian
Tom Cooper
Nathan Lyon
Joe Mennie
Aaron O'Brien

Tasmania:

Jackson Bird
Steven Cazzulino
Ed Cowan
Brendan Drew
Jason Krejza
Adam Maher

Victoria:

Jon Hastings
Chris Rogers

Western Australia:

Tim Armstrong
Mark Cameron
Michael Hogan
Craig Simmons

And I'd also add,

Middlesex:

Sam Robson

--------------------

With the exception of a wicket-keeper, there's a pretty handy side in there!

Did I miss anyone else out there?

I don't know Sam Robson's story .. why isn't he having a crack here? I presume he still identifies himself as Australian, or is he pursuing an English career?

Rhett Lockyear at Tassie. He doesn't get many starts down there now though.

Just shows that NSW could probably have a 2nd team. They just keep producing decent cricketers. Good on them, they must have a brilliant development program.

Our problem is we don't play as a team, we got heaps of talent floating around but it ain't much good if they don't have that good team vibe.

The only real shame about that whole list is that Moises Henriques gets a start and the rest had to move states.

Sam Robson is attemping to qualify for England (dual passports). He had a NSW rookie contract 3 seasons ago but had to give it up as he had a full Middlesex contract. Still only young (<23) and averaging over 40 in County cricket. Once he qualifies I think he will play test cricket for England. Still plays half a season or so for Easts here but flies back pretty soon for pre-season. Can bowl leggies too.

If only he would move states he could push his claim for an Aussie cap. Won't be able to break into the NSW side.
