That's a nice constructive piece to add to the conversation.
Having sat through season two in it's entirety I am so burned by that show it hardly seems worth the effort to provide any further elaboration.

Season one seemed alright enough. It was a nice mix of human drama and zombies. But the moment the kid took a bullet the brakes were applied and the show rapidly became a snooze fest. The whole drawn out saga at the farm completely turned me off the show. It probably wouldn't have been so bad had I watched it all back to back, but as it was I was watching it week to week on Monday nights after it was shown in the US.

It rapidly became a show I really didn't have much interest in watching anymore. Much like Prison Break, Lost, etc.

Good, so we can assume we won't be reading any more "Walking Dead is crap" posts from anyone who has posted one because surely they're not stupid enough to watch series 3...

I'm hanging out for it. It's one of very few shows that I won't miss.

Fair enough. A lot of people don't like it because it focused more on the human drama side of it then the action. But that is the show it's meant to be. Others say they should follow the comics more but the comics are more drawn out than the show, especially the prison (season 3). As long as you don't keep watching it then complain about it just for the sake of it then fair enough.

By the way they are casting new characters it seems the prison arc in the show won't be as drawn out as in the comics. They are doing 16 episodes and have a smaller cast as well.

I understood this from the beginning. The key is having writers that can write good human drama, which The Walking Dead lacks. I understand the writers from season one were all fired and replaced by freelancers, and on top of that the showrunner got the arse in season two.

I think they need to lose about 80% of the characters that are alive at the end of season two. In fact, if they replaced the entire cast as a kind of reboot, that would be ideal. The problem with the current cast is that I feel absolutely no connection to any of the characters at all. They aren't even annoying enough to dislike.

The only character I would care about if they died is Darryl, everyone else I couldn't give two shits about, hell I'm hoping for Lori, and Carl to die, and I was so freakin' happy when a certain giant douche bag died in the second last episode of season 2.

You are supposed to hate Shane and Lori is just a f**king idiot. I don't understand the hate for Carl, in fact I wonder why some people want to see a little boy die.

I care about the characters. Rick, Daryl, Dale, Hershel, Glenn are all cool.

Also Frank Darabont got the boot over disputes about budget cuts I believe.

I forgot about Glenn, I do like him, I like Dale as well, but we all know what happens there, so 2 characters I like, a whole bunch of characters I'm indifferent towards, and 2 I hate. I still enjoy it none the less.

Good human drama.... lol

I mean, it's easy to know how people would react in those circumstances, isn't it?

It happens almost daily someone in the world...

That was trolling?

LOL

f**king amateur.
That's the best part, it required virtually no effort whatsoever to offend your delicate sensibilities. Kinda the point of my comment, really.

Come on guy, let's get real - someone on the internet doesn't like your favourite show. No need to pout and get all butt hurt about it!

Mate the whole point of the Internet is getting angry at random people you've never met whose opinion differs slightly from your own.
