Dissapointed that our big off season purchases have been very disappointing thus far.
Evans injury/condition/laziness led directly to Cronullas only try and Hayne gets injured kicking off. FFS.
Terepo will come in and hopefully Marata finally gets his chance.
We cant just play on heart. Its not sustainable. Our technique is poor. Lots more losses this year sadly.
Ill be watching though.

All the same, a failure like not making the 8 (barring extraordinary circumstances like massive injuries) is a poor result for a team that was top 4 fav.

You’d have to think (or at least hope) that with Evans not returning he’ll be out for the immediate future. IMO Peni comes straight in. I’d also be finding a spot for one of Vave or Williams. Ideally we’d have a quality 80 minute hooker which would allow us to not require a utility, but if BA wants to carry one, then Scott misses out for mine. Peni’s strong defence will go some way to covering his defence and it gives us more punch in attack.

It’s not all doom and gloom though. I thought Mannah and Alvaro held their own again tonight, Kenny was strong (complete f**k up from BA leaving him out in Rd 1) and whilst ill-disciplined, no one can argue against Brown’s effort. Ma’u was disappointing yet again though.

After three rounds - discipline, attitude, confidence, injuries and sticking to game plans come to mind. I didn't mention players because they were who we had on our roster.

For me, if we fail this year, it's how BA reacts next year that indicates if he is a good coach or not - is pretty hard to change style/rosters during the year.

I'll be honest, I would've preferred a win. That said, it was a hell of an improvement from last week. Attack was obviously bad but so were the conditions. And then the injuries and getting punished by the ref in the first half. We got a bit back but not enough imo. I look forward to seeing us on a dry track without men going down. And maybe Vave, Williams and Terepo getting a shot at some point. Also there's Gunco. But a win or two soon would be f**ken nice.
