Anyhow, yes I don't like losing but as a eels supporter I just ask that the boys put in 100% each week. Yeah there are definitely areas that need fixing but today I couldn't fault our effort!! It was bloody great!! To only have 40% of the ball and only let one try in is an amazing effort!!

Keep that effort up and we will win a few games!!

Also don't forget we only had 2 subs for 60 mins, losing a fullback and not being able to bring on a fresh hooker along with the forwards playing extra minutes shows how great our effort was!!

You’d have to think (or at least hope) that with Evans not returning he’ll be out for the immediate future. IMO Peni comes straight in. I’d also be finding a spot for one of Vave or Williams. Ideally we’d have a quality 80 minute hooker which would allow us to not require a utility, but if BA wants to carry one, then Scott misses out for mine. Peni’s strong defence will go some way to covering his defence and it gives us more punch in attack.

It’s not all doom and gloom though. I thought Mannah and Alvaro held their own again tonight, Kenny was strong (complete f**k up from BA leaving him out in Rd 1) and whilst ill-disciplined, no one can argue against Brown’s effort. Ma’u was disappointing yet again though.

I thought Ma'u had his best game in ages tbh. 30 plus tackles at a brilliant effective rate and the only forward apart from Brown to make 100m.
