Where was it?

Hong Kong? Lebanon? The Ross Ice shelf? Santiago? Boston? Harare? Whangamata? Sofia?

Issac Asimov wrote a book called 'In the beginning..' in which he looked at the two creation theories in the bible - the adam and Eve story, and the God created the earth story, and he concluded one came from Eygyt and one was from Greece - but i can't remember which was which.

The Garden of Eden came from the story Adam and Eve so I don't think it actually existed (practicing Catholic here btw...)

Angry, it's a wondrous place where there is no hunger, no sickness, and a woman for every man - and if you stuff up, you can blame it on the missus.

interesting concept

so the were only two people who occupied this earth and they were separated by the Mediterranean ocean

so who was it that invented the boat ?

was there a third person around at the time and if so who begat him/her, which means there would have been Adam, Eve the boat inventer and the begator and the begatee

the plot thickens

What worries me is didn't Eve have two boys or was that Noah's wife?

Cane and Abel

no daughters, yet if Eve had a daughter it would raise even more questions as to who procreated with who

but the fact that she didn't means she was the only female with a hubby and 2 kids, so how did they populate the earth ?

That's because it was a parable :D

it wasn't told as a parable when I was brainwashed in primary school

it maybe nowdays as there are obvious flaws there and alot more people are questioning what they are being taught like I did

I watched a doco on ABC which suggested the "garden" might have been the green areas at the southern tip of the Arabian Gulf which get monsoon rains. THough they didn't claim the garden was a religious one but that the story might have been woven on to it.

The bible actually gives a rough idea of where it was supposed to be.

Considering two of those rivers nobody knows about here is a map of the only two known ones.
