SJ off the bench for a few weeks to build up to the speed etc.

Wilton has overtaken Nikora for the starting spot.

will be quality to have talakai back

not sure about hunt with his injury and the speed of the current game and his size.

agree with all of this. Unfortunately tracey probably misses out when Johnson comes back, although I don’t think Ramien has been performing well enough to walk straight back in either.

Talakai will be a huge inclusion. People saying he won’t walk back into the side obviously have forgotten how much of a weapon he was for us last year.

This mob still haven’t stood up against quality opposition.

Playing Roosters, Newie and Storm in the next 4 weeks which will be interesting
They stood up against the eels and Canberra.

Canberra was a frustrating loss but came back from a deficit and almost rolled a team most consider one of the big six this year.

We also stood up immensely against the eels. Last ten minutes under horrendous fatigue they ran a few in, so be it.

not saying we are going to win the comp, but some of you blokes would boo the Easter bunny.

A loss is a loss, I’m not prepared to gob the coach with a 2-2 start and a stupid bench.

Some good signs, but we should have beat the dragons and cowboys. And did, so good on him.

I want to see us on a dry track against quality opposition.

By the time SJ comes back, with injuries coming at a rapid rate somebody will probably be laid up. Or laid out.

But if all fit the facts are:
Chad plays.
Bomber loves Tracey and he is in the 17.
Kennedy is fullback.

This leaves Moyza and SJ. Both off contract and both playing for a new one.
So expect both at top of their game.
With Tracey on the bench and 3 forwards one will find themselves in the Jets.
Both have points in them and can do something special.
SJ kicks goals.

Yep. A tough one.

I think Moylan will go back to the bench. If it was up to me I would be running Johnson and Moylan now that Kennedy has shown himself.

haha..Moylan scores a meaty and we forget the last three years...pfft.
If the team keeps playing well then we don't have to rush SJ back. Take an extra couple of weeks then
Sj on the bench for the first two or three back. Moylan and Chad the second coming, as 6 and 7.
Bring Sj on and either move Chad to 9 and rest Brailey, game dependant or punt Mozza. Either way, it gives us some cover in the backs.

Mozza is not a full back anymore, please. We have tried that. Unless the Peach Mk2 goes down with an injury.

It be round 4

Too soon to suicide.
Too soon to rejoice.
Too soon to guesstimate best side.

A fair few blokes yesterday played their best games so far but still have to get consistent.

W,L,L,W doesn't really inform consistency. Nor does it inform failure.

I'm happiest with the fight in them. That could take them a long way. The attack is actually still miles off. Very few handling errors yesterday but that would fall into the anomaly section based on last year and rounds 1-3. They have to maintain that control and completion rate every game.

The team that does it best will win the comp.

For the record I'm gonna be happy with 4 or 5 out of 10 for the start of the season as long as they continue to improve and stay tough. 8-10 points will be enough of a springboard in this comp.

It's not a shit easy draw but it's not a shit hard draw easy.

Fair assessment. The toughness is pleasing in a comp with plenty of teams just phoning it in. Beating a top 8 side is important to make a statement. It gets brought up every time they play a decent team. Get that done and keep building. The season is a marathon. Lots to happen.

If all are back always hard to have everyone available but if case.

1. Kennedy.
2. Katoa.
3. Tracey.
4. Dugan.
5. Mulitalo.
6. Johnson.
7. Townsend.
8. Uele.
9. Brailey.
10. Woods.
11. Wilton.
12. Graham.
13. Rudolf.

14. Moylan.
15. Talakai.
16. Hunt.
17. Ramien.

I think Ramien off bench play in forwards would work leg speed and power, he also gives cover out wide.
Nikora hasn't improved since rookie year.
Williams is close to the 17.
Moylan off bench can play like benji depending on how game goes.
Tolman plays when Uele or woods are out

Out of all the sides you’ve posted Stake I think that’s about the best. Only change I’d see from that team is Noodles in the team for Tracey but I agree that Tracey almost deserves a starting spot. Hopefully Jesse gets his finger out on his return now that there’s real competition.

Holy s&@? Stakey, that’s the closest thing to a sensible post you’ve ever made!

Nikora and Ramien are under pressure. Tracy can cover FB, 9, 4 or 3 and a gun on the bench. As for the rest I recon we will need all of them just to make the eight. Roosters, knights and South’s. Now we will see how good we can be. Team and Coaching staff.
