2006 broncos prop "depth" was Petro, Hannant, Webcke, Parker, Thaiday, Taylor, and Kenny

That rotation and depth dumps from a great height all over our prop/depth for next year.

06 Broncos
04 Bulldogs
02 Roosters (very underrated)

These 3 teams won premierships on the back of the amazing go forward these teams front rowers provided. Hell, Webcke and Civoniceva would go 1 and 2 in the rankings of the best props in the NRL era, and they played on the same team! Rabbits props are good, but they have a while to go yet.

Today South Sydney has announced the signing of the fourth Burgess brother, Tom. This gives us an impressive engine room for 2013 which includes the following:

S Burgess, Asotasi, L Burgess, Lima, G Burgess, T Burgess.

This is arguably the greatest 6 prop rotation in the history of the salary cap era. IMO I think it is. You have a genuine superstar in Sam, established quality in Asotasi, Lima and Luke and superstar potential in Tom and George. And the fact that we've got all 4 brothers here gives a MASSIVE inbuilt advantage of keeping them for unders when contract time comes around. Can anybody name a better set of 6 props in the history of the salary cap era?

Also have 4 brothers ever played in the same 17 in the history of rugby league?

It's a 'good' pack but remains to be seen whether it'll be the best next season, or the best in 22 odd years.

How I rate them individually.

Asotasi - Good, not great.
Sam - Great
Luke - Solid
Lima - Solid
George - Potentially good
Tom - Potentially solid

But it's all on paper really. Broncos & Warriors looked great on paper this season but I couldn't say they've lived up to the billing of best forward formations this year.

Been plenty of packs that look better on paper and certainly some that's going to take some beating.

Lazo and Dean Pay might have something to say about that, with Steve Price and Ruben Wiki :p But any rotation with these guys in it is better. Good BM trolling though

Does everything have to be about Souths for you? Are you completely incapable of a rational Rugby League discussion if there isn't a Souths slant on everything?

Sure, all supporters are one-eyed, but you take it to a whole new level.

Nothing wrong with being one-eyed to a point, but when it contaminates everything you think, see, say, or do, then it is very unhealthy.

Oh, and yes Souths don't have a bad forward rotation at all - just don't make them out to be the best of all time, because whilst they show considerable promise... they really haven't done anything just yet.

Come back to us when you have won a premiership or two (and I would like to see Souths win a comp sooner rather than later).

As for best forward rotation in the salary cap era, Manly's last year wasn't too bad - they would be right up there.

Souths new front row from next season... Could be a good sponsorship opportunity. Gaffer/Duct Tape, Michelin man... The sky is the limits.

Stick to policing part time between poker games, renting a room in ya patents supplied house and playing poker.

Even that is more believable than crap like you have posted in here.

Bahahaha. I needed a good laugh. Since when is a prop rotation 6 players?

Luke Burgess hahahaha.

Broncos current 4 prop rotation is Sam Thaiday, Petero Civoniceva, Ben Hannant and Josh McGuire. All players would make the run on side for Souths.

Front row if anything is the Rabbitohs weakest link.

If we're rating packs on potential, then every team in the NRL can easily brag about having 6 great front rowers. But when you have guys like Lima and Asotasi who are past their best, and then 3 Burgess brothers that aren't Sam and are yet to prove themselves as quality first graders... then the Souths front row is really nothing special for 2013 yet. Especially when there's a good chance that Sam Burgess will be playing second row.

If Sam Burgess does play in the second row, then most sides starting front rowers would be atleast equally in demand (if not ahead) of the Souths top 2 front rowers (Lima and Asotasi), and well ahead of the so far unproven Burgess brothers.

ie. The bottom 4 sides starting front rows this week are:
Eels - Tim Mannah, Fui Fui Moi Moi
Panthers - Tim Grant, Sam McKendry
Roosters - Jared Waerea Hargreaves, Frank Paul Nuuasala
Warriors - Ben Matulino, Russel Packer

Some very good front rowers in that list and this is from the lowest ranked sides. Ontop of that these teams also have a quality front rower or two on the bench and a long list of players who are either former proven players, or potential stars. The only difference is that most other teams have a better top 4 rotation of proven players.

Jeff Lima and Roy Asotasi from 4/5 years ago with Sam Burgess would be absolutely insane when you only need any one of those other blokes to be remotely close to first grade quality. But it's 2012 and those blokes aren't the same players they were.

Manly mid 90's is very underated with the likes of Carroll, Gillespie, Roberts, Tierney and Haumono. Perhaps not possesing the go forward of the likes of the Dogs of 04 or Broncos of 06 but defensively i think they are proven to be far superior stat wise and highlight wise - they certainly could put the fear of God into opposition packs with bruising defence.

If you wanted to cart it out of your own end - Broncos 06 props. If you wanted game breaking flair - Bulldogs 04. If you want to bend and smash the opposition pack into submission - Manly 95/96.

The 97 Broncos wasn't bad with the likes of Lazo, Thorn, Webcke, Gee.......Petero wouldn't have been too far off debut either.

Yes alright alright. Now that I've thought about it a bit there are some pretty good prop rotations around now and in the past. Maybe I got this one wrong. It happens. I'm not flawless.
