Bullshit. I try for Comic Con tickets under no illusions how tough it will be. It's a once a year event where anything up to half a million people jam into one server at one time. They sell out in less than half a minute. It sucks, but I expect it.

This game has been in development for five years, they have millions to put into development/ beta testing etc. What would the one thing they would try to handle be? Launching a product that people could play. Even with some of the bells and whistles not available at time of launch.

Surely they would account for its popularity? This was never going to be a dud game. By saying "oh well don't be surprised if you get trouble" seems a cover for "we are just hoping for the best".

I cant even save the character. Every time I try to re start the online I have to create it over again. Surely if they warned us to expect trouble they would implement a code to make sure once you were happy with your avatar it would save until they smoothed the pathways out?

Meh not concerned at all TBH. Gave it a crack, didn't let me in so I kept going with SP. Will do the same tonight and see what happens. Figured there were going to be online probelms when they couldn't even get the social club working properly on launch day.

You obviously didnt understand my post so I will go over it again for you. You bitched about I/we shouldve expected delays because we were warned. I replied by saying no, and the reason I used was comic con. Its a one time only opportunity to secure tickets, so anyone doing so runs the risk.

For an mmo game like GTAO the above excuse shouldnt exist. They should have planned and spent more on their servers.

Am i the only person here who got a decent session in last night? Played a couple of missions, free roamed for a bit, changed servers, earned some cash, logged out and logged back in easy as.

The jobs f**ked up after a while, so i couldn't download them or some shit, but i still got a good 6 hours in.

Must be Karma making up for Sim City.

i didnt have to wait for anyone, i got challenged by Lamar, did a couple of missions for him and then it let me loose on the world where it's been heaps of fun and can only get better, fun offing other "real" players (well, trying to anyway, they have heaps better weapons than me at this stage)

If one player in the game wants to kick you, for whatever stupid reason they may have, they can. There's no majority vote or anything, all it takes is one person wanting to kick you and you're kicked.

EDIT: Loaded up solo online to see if I can get through the tutorial bullshit that way, the first race has now been loading for almost 20 minutes.
