Happens to every person ever to have played poker mate. Just keep playing solid and making the correct plays - it will turn around.

I personally tend to stay away from the cash tables. It's too easy for someone to suck out against you and then leave the table with his winnings. There is a lack of finality about it for me.

That's why i much prefer tournaments, especially 6-max. Im a big fan of the $100 odd entry fees with 350 or so players. The entry fee generally means less donkeys and theres also great odds for the first prize of around 15-20k Australian which is well worth playing for.

People can suck out but if you take their pot odds away then you're going to win money in the long run and they're going to lose. You can't be worried about whether people are going to suck out on you if you're taking their odds away.

I went through a period recently - mainly in SnGs - where I was getting sucked out on mercilessly. Thankfully that is starting to turn around now as it as always going to.

I assume you're not going all in pre-flop of course in which case of course you can be sucked out on.

Great night last night!!

Dealt KK
Flop AAK
All in, with my Kings full of Aces, guy shows Aces for 4 of a kind.
Frustrated, but can't complain.

Dealt KK
Flop K 8 10
All in with my top set, guys calls with 5 9 off suit:crazy: , hits runner runner for a flush.
AAARRGH!!

This was in consecutive hands against the one guy, from chip leader to busting out one spot from the money in two hands, brutal.

That happened to me when I used to play NPL.

It was the NPL finals, I'd built my stack up to about $9000 and pick up Queens in the BB.

The table chip leader - this chick that was making all sorts of ridiculous hands - limped in as did the person at the cut-off with blinds at 300-600 from memory.

So I raise to about $2500 from memory. The chip leader calls and the cut-off folds. We're heads-up.

The flop is Q-8-4 rainbow so I've flopped top set.

I check. She throws in $2000, I push the rest of my chips in.

She thinks for ages and eventually calls despite saying "I haven't got much".

She has 7-8 of spades. You know what happens next - runner runner flush.

The whole table was disgusted because she had hit yet another monster with a shocking, shocking play - and I was eliminated when I should have been in a great position.

Oh well, sh*t happens.

I had a similar one on FT.

Dealt AA, flop comes KKA.

I push, other bloke goes all-in, I call. He turns over 9/9.

Turn = 9.

River = 9.

last night this one cost me $100

table was 0.25/0/50 blinds

im two after bb raise to $2, goes around the table all fold bar the big blind who flat calls,

I have A2 of clubs

Flop J, 10, 3 all clubs so I've flopped the nut flush he checks I throw the minimum bet into the pot he raises I decide just to call having the best hand in all

Turn 5 diamonds, this card does nothing he bets $8 i raise to $24 then he pushes all in for $57 from memory I call

he turns over Q9 clubs so he flopped the flush aswell

he has only 2 outs coming to the river which I was quite happy thinking hes basically no chance to hit his straight flush and what happens king of clubs on the river!

What are you doing playing A-2 from an early position?

And what is he doing calling with Q-9 on the bb?

Still unlucky though.

Only 5/6 seats on the table filled so considering there was only 2 ppl behind me to act and the way the table had been going I believe it was the right move, just wish he folded preflop or I raised more preflop

It was a small amount pre-flop and then they both hit the flush on the flop...how is that bad play? Hornby just got majorly unlucky.

I didn't criticise the play post-flop - I merely questioned why he was playing A-2 from early position. Having said that, it's not a bad play to raise with rubbish occasionally.

Anyway, as I've already stipulated, I didn't realise that it was short-handed when I made that post.

And at least he raised. Too many players would limp in there trying to hit a big flop, which is a woeful play.

I know a hand someone on Full Tilt should of won, its the master of bad beats.

holding Qd 5c, I push in for 750, pot commited for my big blind, A 10 calls.

Flop Comes

As Ad 10d (he flops a full house)

Im Drawn dead ?,

think again.

Turn comes a King of Diamond

River comes a Jack of Diamonds

For the most flukiest royal flush ever known to man.

I have a picture saved at home of 3 players flopping a flush at FT.

I had the Ace and the two other players had the King and the Queen respectively.

If I remember to, I'll post the pic tonight.
