The Hayne Plane has crashed and burned

Sad for Henry in my opinion. He had the team playing as a team last year until the board thrust Hayne on his team. Hayne plays for himself and nobody else. They haven't been the same since. They'll both end up getting the arse. The board remains in tact....

they scraped into the 8 last year on the back of a piss easy draw.

Up until a month ago the Titans were still scrapping and well and truly in contention for the 8, I would say they were playing almost on par of what they were producing last year.

Last month though the wheels have fallen off the cart big time. Haynes individual form has gone to shit pretty much since Origin 2, but the whole squad is going terribly. Elgey has been aids, Taylor and Roberts were playing well as a combo at the start of the season and its been Henry's decision to change that.

You can't solely blame Hayne for conceding 40 points every game, defence is always a sign of commitment, teamwork and playing for one another. That has to come from the coach down imo.

both henry and hayne have to go now if the club is going to be able to move ahead. henry seems to be on the outer with some of the other players too because of his fued with Hayne.....another player. i don't think League players are bright enough to understand the issue and are probably taking offence to Henry having issues with a player - one of them.

of course, it will be cheaper to pay out Henry rather than Hayne or both.....Neil will go Hayne will stay the year of his contract. forgetting about the payouts, only showing Henry the door doesn't bode well for the next coach who comes in. We've just been through all this with Wests Tigers....once the players think they run the joint, you can forget about progress.

Pretty f**ked for Henry. The front office f**ked up chasing Hayne. No other club apart from Parra really wanted him.

the S&C department, and Henry have a bit to answer for though. Titans have had a heap of injuries this season. there's bad luck, and there's bad planning.

So the media really love to bash Hayne, especially News cap like Fox/DT.

Screenshot_2017-08-15-20-31-31-1.png

And clearly there is no honour in the field of journalism. They don't want the truth to get in the way of their witch hunt.

* Brian Smith was not being re-signed by the Eels and quit before Hayne made his FG debut.

* Taylor was interim coach, he never quit, he just didn't get the full time appointment that he wanted and the players were after.

* Hagan had health issues and was a shit coach.

* Anderson was a political poleaxing clearing the decks of the Fitzy years once Fitzgerald was unseated. Also shit recruitment.

* Kearney was a shit coach who lacked the ability to adapt to all his players. Just because Melbourne play like Melbourne doesn't mean it fits for all teams. Also shit recruitment.

* Stuart left to chase bigger money and a longer contract at his old Club.

* Tomsula, are they having a laugh? Really, do they have any clue. The guy was a bumbling idiot. Hayne could have been an NFL superstar, this guy still gets his walking papers.

* Henry - not sacked yet. But if he is, Hayne was just the media figurehead for the issues at the titans, because he is an easy target. Make shit up about him and 90% of the masses assume it's true. It's clear the problems at the titans run very deep.

Fair enough. Last year Hayne was the saviour, this year it's a different tune. I'll concede the league media can turn faster than a female 'The Bachelor' contestant but that doesn't excuse Hayne and his abysmal form.
Regardless, Henry's days look numbered.

Jason Taylor is an absolute joke to suggest Hayne had anything to do to remove him. Infact Michael Hagan was already signed for next year when Brian Smith was coach so he decided to quit and Taylor was already signed the next year as an assistant with South Sydney. Taylor's success with coaching Parramatta for the rest of the year resulted in Taylor asking Souths to release him from his contract as an assistant coach so he could search for a head coaching position. That prompted South's to remove their own head coach Shaun McRae and gave Taylor the job.

Betting on french rugby when his contract expires because i don't think any club is stupid enough to pay what he's after.

His manager today has ruled out him heading overseas to play rugby.

"JARRYD Hayne’s manager Wayne Beavis has confirmed the under-fire Gold Coast star wants to remain in rugby league even if he is forced out of the Titans.

French Rugby has been thrown up as a potential destination for Hayne, but Beavis said he has had no contract from the rival code.

Beavis will catch up with Hayne when he arrives in Sydney today to discuss his uncertain future following his public spat with coach Neil Henry.

Asked if the embattled Titans fullback wants to stay in league, he said: “Of course he does.”

“He (Jarryd) will probably fly down with the team, so I sent him a note this morning saying we’ll catch up when you get here.

“I’ve had no discussions with them (Gold Coast). They haven’t contacted me.

“It’s business as usual.

“There is no issue. He (Jarryd) has done nothing wrong.”

The pair’s rocky relationship, which has resulted in ultimatums from both parties, looks set to cost Henry his job despite having one year to run on his contract.

Hayne also won’t escape unscathed.

It’s understood the Titans will give the Test and Origin flyer permission to leave the club despite having a year to run on his contract.

However, it won’t be an easy sell."

he would not admit to it if he was so what he has said isn't worth two squirts of camels piss

Maybe, but it would be in Hayne's interests to stay in rugby league and build something. Rather then be another one of theses' fly in fly out Sonny Bill Williams types.

He isn't one already?

Not necessary, he's 29 and he has couple of good year left in him. If he can buckle down and get back in the shape he needs to be he can still produce a good legacy. It's like Brad Fittler said on the Sunday Footy Show when he puts his mind too something he can be exceptional. But it's up to Hayne to decide to do it.

That one is contested. The teams that Bulldogs and Roosters that Sonny Bill Williams went to the Grand final, had a lot more talent then the Eels team had in with Hayne in 2009.

I'm talking more about a legacy with one code. Hayne pretty much had 18 months away from Rugby league to pursue NFL. Sonny Bill Williams has spent more time in union and has been in and out of rugby league on two occasions.

I thought Channel 9 was bad but I'm amazed how Fox misses the mark on some of these.

I'm not excusing Hayne, but this is a poor attempt on trying to dramatise the Hayne situation.

Smith was the one that said Hayne wasn't ready for first grade, then after he quit, Taylor, who coached Hayne in reserve grade brought him in and was rookie of the year.
