Would you keep Hohaia in the team next weekend?

He only played 24 minutes, and in that period we looked completely lost. Hohaia wasn't BAD as such, but he continues to f**k around before passing the ball, slowing up service and confusing our runners. One thing with Godinet is he always passes quickly, crisply and takes the right options.

Can we afford to play Hohaia next week in a massively critical game?

Can we afford to play a rookie?

Can Heremaia play 80 minutes...? With Brown on the bench perhaps.

Our forwards got eaten up last night, maybe an extra big-ish boyu on the bench would help avoid this vs the Dragons.

PS Locke I love you.

Hohaia stays imo. He'll get better with more time.

The positive in the last couple of weeks is we have been very ordinary yet still got the 2 points. Plenty to work on!

PS - Why did it take us 2 years to put Locke at the back? Wouldn't swap him for anyone, not even Slater!

Heremaia does the exact same sort of stuff, goes around in circles before passing the ball, or throwing useless dummies that only confuse our runners. Both are awful distributors, only thing they can occasionally do well is run the ball.

Agree, agree, and agree. And excited to see Johnson slotting in well too. Exciting times ahead with some of these young ones slotting in well. To think a few months back we were thinking Locke may be missed out by the Fish coming through. Locke deserves big ups by responding with some big performances

I'd have Godinet back in there in a heartbeat. Hohaia seems to never know if he's going to run it or pass it until he has the ball in his hands. I don't think he's bad per se, and he will get better as he gets back to full fitness, however Godiet is the type of player I like to see on the field. He knows what he's going to do, what he needs to do and isn't masquerading around trying to being a half who's playing hooker (even though that's what he may very well be).

I'd play Godinet.
The upcoming games are too important to play Hohaia into fitness.
Plus the opposition doesn't know about Godinet whereas they know all about HiHo.
Not criticising HiHo, he has been a good player - just not right now.

That said I am sure Cleary will stick with Hohaia.

Would go for Godinet for the reasons that Hitman82 & attila have both mentioned, Heremia & Hohaia are both quite slow and indecisive with their distribution. Plus Hohaia hasn't looked to be in form for some time now.

I'd stick with Hohaia, but only by the skin of his teeth. His experience will be crucial come finals time and he can be also a match-winner. Against the Panthers it seemed like he was a little too keen to star and ran from dummy half a few times when he should've passed. Dropping that ball on the first hit up off our line was a shocker - hopefully that's his one blowout for the next month.

Will head to Wollongong next Sunday..(first Warriors live game for me in over a decade due to living on nrl-less parts of the planet - can't wait).

Loving this season, warts n all.

Meh. He's going to be there until he's injured or he goes to England.

I cant people are still having a dig at heremaia.

heremaia has been one of the warriors best over the last month.
if I could rip up nathan friends contract and aarons with hull I would.
wITH THE FORWARDs playing better he gets more space.

When he darts out from dummy halve and feed maloney the team scores tries.

I wouldn't rip up Friend's. If he was a Kiwi, everyone would be all for it. He's an outstanding hooker, an 80-minute one at that who allows us better flexibility on the bench. Rock-solid defender, good distributor. I have been very impressed with Heremaia of late but he's going to make good coin over in the UK, and we still have a great hooker (and I doubt we missed signing anyone else because of it).

Spot on. It the typical Aus vs Kiwi thing that happens with every signing.

what a load of crap - i dont care about his nationality.
your doing a good talking him up though.
farah, ennis, smith or luke - he is not though.
he is more with the likes of hinchcliffe, heremaia, mcollough.

Maybe it because I havent seen him play for so long.

my point wasnt to bag Friend.
Just commenting on how little credit heremaia has been getting.
people wrote him off

Quite a few of us have praised Heremaia over recent weeks-he been up there in the 3-2-1 points system.

We have a habit of letting good hookers go Henderson and Jason Death come to mind.

I have seen a lot of Friend and he is gutsy defender and very good determined player but like a lot of people I have not seen him play for a year and the memory dims hence we have a little bit of uncertainty.
