what a load of crap - i dont care about his nationality.
your doing a good talking him up though.
farah, ennis, smith or luke - he is not though.
he is more with the likes of hinchcliffe, heremaia, mcollough.

Maybe it because I havent seen him play for so long.

my point wasnt to bag Friend.
Just commenting on how little credit heremaia has been getting.
people wrote him off

Isn't Darren Kingi the best hooker in the world anyway?

He is the 2008 world cup winning fullback, he deserves the number 1 jersey over Kevin Locke who hasn't proved himself at this level yet....

You're f**king joking, Lance has played well over the years but no way he walks back into the team considering Locke's form since he got the #1 jersey. Locke is now the Warriors incumbent, and I'd give him a shot at the kiwi jersey to.

In all seriousiness.

Like I said at the begining of the year, Lance is a tough question.

He has been a great servant to the Warriors and kiwis.

Facts are Warriors are better off with Locke fullback, so what to do with Lance?

You could say halves....TH would have a heart attack.

Hooker he goes all right, is he better than the other options? Pros and Cons...

He does have vast experience, even finals experience.

It is a tough question.

I am just stoked Kevin got a go, and look forward to seeing him run off Benji --> against the Poms of course.

I realise Cleary is a loyal coach and appears to have great love for the little guy, but surely he must have seen the huge drop in cohesiveness and speed when Hohaia was on?

My personal opinion is Heremaia can play the 80 and we should have a 4 forward bench, with Mr. Brown or Mr. Taylor coming into hooker to give Aaron a rest if required.

But I'm no NRL coach, perhaps Ivan will see factors in Hohaia's performance that I missed.

As long as Locke and Johnson are in the team we have a huge chance of winning any game tbh.

Heremaia has been outstanding of late but I think you're going to strip a lot of his effectiveness if you play him for 80 minutes. I'd stick with Hohaia. Was going quite well before he got injured, and has played in the big matches before.

Yep, I'd stick with Hohaia as well. I know what you're saying Hitman, but Heremaia has managed one 80 min game at hooker in 2 and a half seasons - resorting to Brown and Taylor as back up is maybe worth a go early in the season, but not at this stage IMO - It's Hohaia or Godinet. I'm happy with either TBH, and understand why Cleary will go with Lance for the rest of the year, barring injury.

probably for minimum wage he is.
and such players like kingi, gelling and lesser extent nafetalai
could really some good bargain buy for the warriors or other nRL clubs.

even heta - has been playing some good football and in good shape.

I guess Ritchie Blackmore thinks he is pretty good since he got runner up player of the year.
ahead of guys like mara.

But i even think guys like Peats from South Sydney
or Wadell was getting shopped around from Canberra
both have massive potential in the hooking role.

But hey you can feel free take the pi$$.
but if you want to actually go watch some local or vulcans footy i encourage u to do so.
might actually be able to add to the debate.

Yup sweet mate I will fly up every week to watch them and maybe even over to Aus every once and a while to see their away games. The debate was between Heremaia and Friend so I'm not sure why have to watch the local Auckland comp to comment on that. The funny this if we did sign someone like Waddell for example instead of Friend you would whinging about signing aussie hacks instead of playing Darren Kingi.
