Yup sweet mate I will fly up every week to watch them and maybe even over to Aus every once and a while to see their away games. The debate was between Heremaia and Friend so I'm not sure why have to watch the local Auckland comp to comment on that. The funny this if we did sign someone like Waddell for example instead of Friend you would whinging about signing aussie hacks instead of playing Darren Kingi.

no - you took the pi$$ because u mentioned kingi.
And how i rate him.
If you love league so much, which seems likely as u spent plenty of time on these forums. - i suggest watching some local league.
Fox is often on maori television check it out.
u can even stream it of their website.

someone like wadell or peats would offer good value and possible long term options.
more so I think they are underrated ala maloney.
Those are players who we should identify.
Players who we think can go to the next level.

again there is no debate.
First of all I was commenting how well heremaia is playing.
even there is;
heremaia at 150 grand or friend at what 300-350+

As for crying if they signed waddell etc.
how the f*** would u know.
im not totally against any foreign players.
just crap ones.

I like both mateo and maloney.
even still like inu.

Agree. Hopefully our days of buying overseas duds are over.

I think with the Warriors and Aussie signings they can't really win. They sign a lower level player or average first grade player they get blasted for bringing over some random Aussie when there is supposedly 10 players here who could do a better job. They sign players who are close to top class, in Friends case in 2010 was just a step below Smith, Farrah and Ennis who in reality are never going to sign for the Warriors so we are getting the next best thing possible and people will whinge about it being a waste of money. We could probably go out tomorrow and sign Thuston and there would be whingers about waste of money. Look at or past dummyhalf signings like Gatis, Henderson and I bet people whinged abot signing realtively unknown 'Aussie hacks' and then whinge when they leave after 2-3 years good service and then the next one comes along and people forget abot them. Friend will go more than fine next year and no offence to Heremaia but I doubt many will be lamenting not resigning him. He's going well atm and good on him he gets a good 3 year deal on solid coin overseas. This isn't really aimed at you neccaserily MMM just warriors fans in general.

Hohaia, grand final experience, could be a key motivator for the young guns. Imo with all the youth we have we need people like Luck, Mannering, Lance, Mateo and even Berrigan to keep the boys focused.

Yeah so 2 weeks into Hohaia's return.

Our momentum once again dropped with his service, we looked messy and confused around the ruck - attack was disjointed. Heremaia wasn't perfect either but in my eyes Hohaia was worse.

What made me a huge fan of Lance's was his massive explosive strength and speed - he could bust the line, burn his opposite with footwork and acceleration, pop up to score tries from 10 out, create space by keeping the opposition guessing. This stuff made up for his dodgy ruck service and puddling around rather than delivering a swift pass...he currently doesn't bring any of his strengths; only his weaknesses.

Godinet or Mara should come back in vs the Cowboys. Probably Godinet as his service is more direct, vision is better, general skillset far superior to Mara.

After a strong run, our 2 worst performances have come with Lance back, and while I definitely don't blame the guy for our losses, I do think he's part of the problem.

Assuming Berrigan is out, I want to see:

3. Brown (unfortunately)
14. Godinet
17. Ta'ai - bye Taylor.

Heremaia has a suspected broken hand from the Dragons match - Lance, Alehana, or Pita?

Oh nice.
You know what's gonna happen eh?

9. Hohaia
14. Mara / Godinet

...that's a total disaster. Goodbye season!

I'd go:

9. Godinet
14. Mara (if Godinet needs a sub)

I actually thought Hohaia was going well these last few weeks. He looks dangerous and gets us on a roll.

If Heremaia is out, I'd have him interchanging with Mara. I know Godinet has been going alright, but Mara has more experience.

Well he's only been back 2 weeks - and during his spells we seem to lose all cohesiveness. He also isn't providing the big dummy half metres or threatening the line like he does when in form. I currently associate Hohaia with us being stuck in our own 20, looking lost on attack and threatening to lose the game.

Personally I'd take Godinet over Mara, but right now I'd play both if Heremaia is out.

Hitman did you notice Packers service from dummy half? some of his passes were amazing, i was suprised what a crisp pass he has, even better than lance.

Yeah I commented on that during the game actually - and the same last week.

Packer has a very nice pass on him and seems to have good vision for a prop; that probably helps his incredible efforts on cover defense as he can see a problem developing and get into position to help fix it.

A couple of weeks ago he was throwing some really nice short balls at the line to Matulino when they were on field together, and pretty sure he's been involved in a couple of runaround maneuvers with Heremaia.

Hopefully over the offseason Packer can fix his foot and shin problems and reach his potential in 2012.

Actually didn't he also put up a massive bomb into the corner against the Panthers when he got stuck with the ball on the 5th?? Friend's spot could be in jeopardy haha...

You have to face facts, Hiho Baggins will not get dropped for the rest of this season.

It's his final year for the Warriors and he's too experienced. I think he deserves a spot in the team.
