ok i thought that bks kicking game again tonight was pretty rubbish..
his first two cross field bombs were ok his mid field bombs were average his ability to constantly put the ball over he dead ball line or touch was outstanding..his grubbers in goal were two long to har and kicking into space was poor and too flat at the line for two kicks charged down..and the field goal..nuff said..the one time seymour kicked in the 20 it was a deft kick with a good result..
nods kicking game lacks the ability for a player of his stature..
ii will give him props for simmo try but then he tried it about another 5 times.. and all the bombs had no result..
so for mine tonight unlike some others of you i thought his kicking game was poor

for a kicking game we accept average where too many kicks have no result...
did anyone see holdsworths kicking game for the dogs on sat night ...fugg me dead..length variation and result..with a bung leg i reckon only about 10 % of his kicks went out..i reckon about 40% of nods do...

A lot of Nod's kicks went into touch (particularly in the second half) to give our forwards a rest and for territory. Let's not forget, he got a repeat set as well, and his kicks (as mentioned by the commentators) were far better than the tigers.

I will agree Seymour needs to be more involved in the kicking.

Why does he have to do it all?

Why did he have to have the field goal shots? Was I the only one who knew (and dreaded) before the ball was played for the shots that on both occasions it would:
a- be called by him, and
b-miss?

Was very hot, and very cold.

Some of his kicks particularly in the second half were outstanding, especially the couple that pinned the Tigers in their 10. Shame our forwards couldn't muscle up and keep them there.

His kick to Simmo, and also his kick in goal for the repeat set also first class.

On the other hand I have never in my life seen a player get charged down 4 times in the one game. Some of his kicks in their 20 were quite average as well.

One aspect that has impressed me though are his touchfinders, consistently finds 20m+ when last year he struggled to kick it more than 10m. Whether it is enough for Sticky, only Sticky knows.

Wasn't really helped much though by his backline though either, so IMO he doesn't really deserve to be singled out.

Absolute bullsh*t... we were making twice as many metres as the tigers on tackles 1-5 but they drew equal on the 6th. Their (deep) kicking game was heaps better than ours. We once again failed to take advantage of good go forward.

This cost us the game.....end of story.

KOTH, i was in a place whee I knew nobody & the chant went up. "don't give it to kimmorley"
I couldn't watch, because I knew the outcome. FTR, Seymour is a sublime field gola kicker with great timing. practiced with Locky.

Who would have thought that the combo of Pommeroy and Covell would be the weaker defensive side and get exploited far more then Simmo and Anderson.

Bizarre huh? I was thinking a similar thing while watching the game. Both Covell and Pom have definately had better games for us and Simmo has had worse. Ah well, thats league.

fugg i thought at times that simmo could actually defend out there..he seemed to make the correct decisions in side and waited and slid across to his wing whilst covering in...strange days indeed

He completely f*cked up that last set of 6 & took the ball 2 plays in a row.

had to f*cken laugh at the long range attempt.

haha, suspension of disbelief.
