Ticket sales for the inaugural NRL season kick-off in Las Vegas continues to climb with 35,000 seats sold for the historic double-header.

Interest in rugby league’s arrival in the US has steadily built with a crowd of over 40,000 at Allegiant Stadium a distinct possibility.

With several days of media and marketing lined-up with all four teams in Sin City later this week, the NRL will be hoping that the 65,000 seat capacity stadium will be closer to full by kick-off on Sunday afternoon.

I'm amazed at how much Fox Sports USA are putting into these games.

Andrew Webster said when he was in the USA recently Fox Sports 1 were promoting the NRL double header during thier NFL play offs telecasts.

As the great man Andrew Webster said, if we can't make it in the US of A with the backing of Lachlan Murdock we'll never make it.

Given the dimensions of the field I’m most interested in how the coaches will play this. Could be a lot of one big the ruck and high ball’s unfortunately. If we want to demonstrate how much better league is than union the less we resemble it the better.

Fox Sports 1 and the NRL can do as much promotion as they like but if the games are 5 hit ups and a kick the result will be naught.

It's on the players and ref to put on a show.

The 4 tickets (me+3) for $14.25 USD is a smart promotion for an event like this.

Its not about revenue, its about getting a crowd to turn up. The trick here will be ensuring the purchaser of the 4 tickets, does indeed have 3 other people attending.
