I’m washing my mouth out with soap but for once maxipad is right about the superbowl ad

plus we are getting so much free publicity off foxsports america anyway that’s worth millions

foxpaorts america can promote this way more effectively than a superbowl ad

This is rather comical.
Since when did advertising become controversial?
The only difference is the size and scope. Sure let's debate the size and scope but not going to entertain an argument on whether or not to advertise...

Advertising is best directed at your target audience, the Super bowl fits the bill. A big spend! 7 million! But there's a reason it's so expensive.. it'll reach 100 million viewers! If the ad is good enough to entice 1% to watch on TV, we have 1 million viewers of the NRL across the states.. that'll get a decent TV deal and you'll make it back and then some..
Coca-Cola says hi.

Comical is comparing NRL to Coca-Cola.

$7M+ is not worth the ROI.

And even if the Vegas games get 1M viewers, a one off event isn't enough for TV stations to suddenly start a bidding war.

As said before the time zone kills our game as a viable US TV product anyway. Well that, and the fact that there sports landscape is already jam packed with local and big international sports.

You see, you'll always be a loser. You have a losing mentality.

No peanut. Coca-Cola spends the most on advertising... and... it's the world's biggest brand.
The point was about the importance of advertising.
Only a complete peanut compares a drink to a game.

You should maybe Google who the biggest advertiser in the world is...

Fair enough, doesn't change the point.
Amazon was 1 that came up? Second richest man that goes to space for fun... actually makes a better point.
Advertising.. more ,the better.

Jesus christ, there are actually multiple people who think a $7m spend on a superbowl ad is a good idea. And anyone who doesn't think it's a good idea, is called a "union troll".

Also, this idea that we could average 1m viewers because of it is ridiculous. The NBA is averaging 1.7m for regular season games.

The 29 game broadcasts are averaging 1,712,000 viewers, compared to 1,469,000 last year.

The MLS was averaging around 300k until one of the most well-known sportsmen in the world arrived.

Disney’s ESPN averaged 14.8 million viewers for each of its NFL games last season while the 34 regular-season MLS matchups it aired in 2022 on ABC and ESPN’s networks averaged 343,000 viewers. This marked the highest MLS viewership across Disney’s networks since 2007.

But apparently we are going to average a million despite the fact that most of our games are played in the middle of the night.

When did people on here become so delusional?
