What a dumb response….

The reason they get 40mil visitors is because they do events like this 1000 times a year.

The events obviously need to make economic sense, but Australian cash is still good in the US.

If they started saying “no need to look for new events, we already get 40mil visitors a year” how long before the visitors umbers start to drop?

Exactly this. How many of the fans that travelled to Vegas from here, UK and the 22 other countries would have gone to there if the NRL wasn't on? At the end of the day, they need hotel rooms and nightclubs filled, restaurants booked and people going to the various shows on and this is a new revenue stream for them. The proof of concept worked which means the NRL can push for higher incentives in subsequent years.

The other thing the NRL, Nine and Fox need to do is stop geo-blocking content on socials. Not sure if it's contractual or not though.

Ah yes, playing 3 games is the exact same thing as signing as an undrafted free agent, attending rookie camp for a couple of days and getting cut, and then spending the next 10 months not being signed by anyone.

It might actually be fun reading his articles over the next few years. It will be reminiscent of him brushing his head as a teenager and noticing a few too many hair strands which he’ll simply brush off but over the months it gets worse and worse until he can’t ignore the inevitable and the panic sets in.

In essence, the ratings are pretty good for a sport they've never heard of. As I pointed out previously, there are three or 4 AFL clubs that rate around that in their own country

More access to the NRL player's would be fantastic. And some sort Radio. Pa . Announcements during the game to guide the crowd who don't know the rule's. Would help the confusion. Like defence infringement. Penalty. Offside. High tackle. So on 6 again. Tackle count restart. Side line Penalty kick gain more yards. Tackle re Start for defence infringement.

Media said 2nd game kick off was East coast. New York time 11pm . And said not the best time for them. He works for new York media newspaper. NRL should aim attention at The USA East coast

Another idea. Is play matches in USA. Using quarter Times. Instead of 1 break halftime
The crowd would relate more. Coming from an NFL background. And more chances for tv . Media advertising revenue
