yeah. i finished the season in 5th, as the 1786th best team in oceania.. well i cant actually remember exactly what it was. i know its nothing compared to where most of you guys are at! but i think its quite i good little indicator of how you team is going. if its getting better or not.. well i spose it will be like that.

my qualifier is against northern territory rovers or some such bot team. but i saw that they came 3rd in their league.. whats doin there?!! i spose one of those f**k ups after sundays games. anyways i think i'll be able to beat whoever i play if that changes.

poida, if you were in v.228, i'm pretty sure you'd come 2nd, and i'm sure you'd be able to compete with my lot. the division seems to be going through a period with quite a high turnover of teams whichs means its not very hard at all, which is annoying when sometimes i'd like nothing more than a challenge.

i am a newbie, only been playing for 2 months but suggest waiting for the start of the new season when everyone will be looking to improve their squads.. Try and time the sale for game day on week 1 when there will be max. people logged on to hattrick

yeh im a defensive trainer too..... its better to wait till the new season but I am selling my defenders now if I can cause i need the money for upgrade of stadium and new winger etc......i just got relegated to division 6 though so the new stadium might not be a good idea.

Cup is over for another season. Congrats to the two V.21 boys, myself (Hills Havoc) and Verbatim Vampires. Vampires will probably be relieved to know that next season will be a one comp cup and so they will have stiffer opposition. I live by the realism that had Rockhampton not forfieted 3 games, I would not have won it.

Oh well, can't complain. On we all go to the next cup. By which time I will be living in Panther territory, right across the road from Panthers leagues club and the stadium. God help me.

hey mambo, are you from div V.21 ?

I am going to promote to it next season, i got no chance at all but i was wandering if you are in that div ?

I picked up a 17yo solid. But it was a bloody winger. No secondaries whatsoever (wretched PM and passing). Only managed to get $14k for him.

A mate of mine managed to pick up a 17yo with excellent passing and nothing else (I think he said the best secondary was poor defending). Ended up sacking him after no-one bid and he'd listed it for $0. His first excellent YP and he ends up not even able to give him away!

Given the start of the new season and after a 7-0 demolition for the Tassie Devils (IV.40) in the first round of the Cup, what's everyone's plans for the season ahead?

League - Finished 4th last two seasons but won't finish much better this time around. Bought a 6 star striker as my only upgrade in the off season and will upgrade a couple of defenders by the end of my Cup run. Just looking to avoid relegation;

Cup - Best I've done is 4th round as I've focused on my training regime. The trainees aren't much chop against Div II and Div II sides. Might train passing for a while and see if I can a round or two further this season to pick up some extra cash;

Training - Probably the last season of PM for me. Might have a go at forward or winger training next season. My wingers have good secondaries and I wouldn't need to invest much.

League - Finished 3rd last year in a suprising season where the Falcons finally clicked. This off I've bought a good midfield which will get me by and push for 2nd. Many people in my league have tipped me the team to beat.

Cup - Best I've done is 4th round and I was amazed that I drew 1-1 with a Div 2 club before finally losing in penality shoot out. I'll be pushing for a good Cup appearance... at least two home games would please me.

Training - I just bought a new coach this week, solid/passable which was better then my poor/poor coach. I'll continue to train defence, as I have for the past 5 seasons now.

League - Ended up 4th last season after leading for quite a bit of the first part of the season. Which was disappointing considering i finished 2nd the season before. Now with 2 5-6 star mids in the heart of my team i will be looking for top spot this season.

Cup - I usually only make about the second round playing my trainees, i guess it will be same old, same old this season.

Training - Just turned my 35 yo skipper into a solid trainer coach. Trans PM.

League - Won my league last season, finishing on 37 points, only to get thrashed 7-0 in my qualifier. My league is a joke. At the moment, with 3 teams now managerless. I'm pretty sure it is the crappest division V league Oceania has to offer. This season I'm expecting to win every game, which will promote my lot.

Cup - Made round 3 last season, but round 4 the season before. Hoping to reach round 5 this time around. I'm hoping the draw will help me out unlike last season

Training - Still training PM, although I'm considering a potential change to passing in a few seasons time, which I'm hoping might slow down the rate at my team is developing. Hoping to make 30 year old Scottish defender, Ian Macmillan, my coach in about a season.

league - finished 7th last season and went down to a div 6 full of bots. looking to win every game and so far for and against of 10-0.

cup - lost 2nd round last year..... still going but i should lose this round.

training - still training defending but i only train 8 people as i like to play 4-4-2 picking up a few trainees as i only have 4 defenders at the moment.

stadium - upgraded to 40,000 to cash in on my 1400 supporters

Geez this thread has dropped down the page, I better boost it

Just got a question. I play Counter Attack mainly with a 5-4-1 approach. I need to boost my midfield a little bit with quality. What kind of stats do I need to complement CA?

Well I only started playing Hattrick in the second half of last season and because I didn't check my email as I was away on holidays, my side was relocated to the Nippon League

League - Finished 3rd in my Divsion 4 League, had I won the last round I would have won the League

Cup - Was already knocked out by the time I started

Training - Playmaking, unfortunately I didn't read the instructions when I bought my trainees and I focused on young players with good passing skills not Playmaking.. doh.. So I am starting the rebuilding process

Youth Squad: Solid, went solid, week 2 of this season and picked up a solid 17 year old striker first up, Happy days :) Sold for 52 million yen (A$1.040m I believe)..

This season I am running First in the league and through to 5th Round of the Emperors Cup with a clash against the leading J-League team. Beat a team leading in Division 3, 6-3 :)

Sorry man but that's funny!

I've decided to change my playing style from 5-4-1 to 5-3-2... I just learnt how to use my IM with oustanding playmaking and excellent scoring... so I'm going to play him as a defencive forward....

Should sell my soon to be magnificent defending wingback along with a midfielder or two and should revamp my forward pack.
