I'm certainly not that up-to-date with strikers, but I'm not sure that he's good enough to ever be a national player. I think there are a couple of 19yo brilliant strikers being trained by the Sky Blues (a Div V team that really does nothing except train strikers). I'll do a bit of research and find out. I suggest you join the Oceanian national team forum that's been set up -
http://code-h.hatstats.info/. I've picked up some good tactical tips from there as well as being more 'in the know' about national team players.
Here are two players that I've just transfer listed.

He's had four weeks of training since turning formidable. I was going to train him to outstanding before selling him, but I have to make room for the 17yo solid to get trained.
Tom Arthur (7809156)

A controversial person who is balanced and honest.
Has poor experience and inadequate leadership abilities.
Nationality: Oceania
Total Skill Index (TSI): 1 320 (264 000 AU$)
Wage: 1 410 AU$/week

The first is obviously to expensive for most people, but the second is a nice little player who has slowly fallen from a first team player to being un-needed. I'll be looking to hopefully buy an outstanding midfielder with the money I make.
