now that i've got supporter, which teams should i support? also which federations should i join?

also i thought i'd better comment that now i've got 2 dilemmas when buying new players. i used hang out for a name that i liked, but now as well as taking that into account, i'm probably going to avoid buying players with long or ginger hair. at the end of this season i was facing a dilemma on whether to sell either barak barda or lionel dominguez, but considering barda looks like raul and dominguez looks like a pofter, my decision has been made a lot easier. i was also disappointed that my side didn't have single african-american skin toned player. but we can certainly fix that now.

If I were to sell all my ginger haired players, I would have trouble fielding a team. I've got a surprising amount of them. Of course, I'm a red head myself, so I don't think I'll be getting rid of them anytime soon. ;-)

As for what federations you should join, depends on what you want out of them. If you are after tactical knowledge and tips on how to get the most out of the game, I'd recommend Tactics and a fed for your training program (for instance, I'm in Defence Trainers). If you want some humour...actually I'm not sure what you should join for that. I'm in The Alliance, but you really have to prove yourself on the Oceanian Conference before they let you join there, and I don't think I've ever seen you on the conferences.

one of my trainees went up to solid this week, following another going up to solid last week. they are both older trainees. and i am poor, so they are quite alright for me. anyways the guy that went up last week is pretty much my star player, he also has passable passing, cockatoo ahmed playing offensive is the rock in my midfield at 3*'s currently, my other midfield gem is the older but much more experienced moektola deacon, currently 30, passable playmaking, passable defending, defensive IM all the way 3*'s. he may go up if i'm lucky, be hes ok atm.

my other IM's have ok playmaking, but arent really any good yet. 2* max pretty much, unless i play them different. my main problem is you can only make 2 offensive or defensive, and i need to play most defensive, except for cockatoo, and my 17yo winger.

i dont know why i wrote all that, i had an idea, but carried on way to much. but theres a brief note of my team.. brief!.. 8)

i have 4 excellent playmakers and two solids who are getting there. i'm gonna sell 2 of them once they've reached formidable and buy me an awesome striker.

nb: in this case awesome is just a noun, not skill level

I picked up this player about 2 weeks ago...

18 years

Stamina: poor Keeper: disastrous
Playmaking: solid Passing: inadequate
Winger: wretched Defending: inadequate
Scoring: solid Set Pieces: wretched

And after one week his Playmaking went up to excellent...i was very happy to say the least.

P.S. Well done Nibbs on getting supporter, its a shame you will have to lose now in the first round of the LU cup next week :p

in your dreams btw

anyhow, today I lost 1-0. In the second half I had 80% of the ball. Should I blame my strikers for the outcome? It's well worth noting this guy has a real good defence but with a shit midfield. I won't have the funds to buy my the awesome scorer that I'm after until the end of the season. Should I take this result on the chin and move on?

Unless you have plans to win your division this season, but are you ready for the next division? otherwise don't change a thing. You know the money will come to upgrade your team once your players reach their sellable levels.

Just focus on that and I'm sure other results will come your way.

so i lost to the top team 4-0. i', pretty confident i am the 2nd best team, i'm sitting 4th. but there were 3 new teams that came in on the weekend. another team is last and got flogged 8-0 by another team that i have beaten. and the other team i drew i think. but yeah. its all looking ok for this season, hopefully, or obviously to improve next season.

I had a very disappointing 2-2 draw. My best defender got a red card, but there was still no way he should've scored two goals (although one of them was a winger special event which I really can't do anything about).

I can't afford to drop any more points, so I've had to bring my plan to buy a supernatural Inner Mid forward quite a few weeks. I was going to wait until later in the season so he'd be a bit cheaper, but I just can't take the risk if I want to finally promote this season. Hopefully I can get the good Oceanian that I've got the current top bid on.

Mad Dogg, how much are you paying out for a Super Nat player  haven't seen any under $5mil in my searches throughout the world???
Having a dodgy season this year....lost 3-0 on the weekend but I am just hoping to finish in the top 4 and then build for next season....got over $5 mil in the kitty to splurge when I feel like it!

Grr I'm quite annoyerd with myself that I didn't get my team in, so instead my full strength squad was playing, and my trainees miss out on their training for this week. :?

On the plus side this will be my first every win in the LU Cup :)

Bought him today for $7.9m. I sold another of my trainees after I pulled a 17yo solid defender last week, so I had a bit over $10m in the bank for a while. Didn't last for long, though.

Here he is:

Matt Perraudin (15465504)
23 years, poor form, healthy

A sympathetic guy who is temperamental and upright.
Has poor experience and weak leadership abilities.

Nationality: Oceania
Total Skill Index (TSI): 23 080
Wage: 35 800 AU$/week
Owner: Rockhampton Wolves
Warnings: 0

Stamina: excellent Goaltending: disastrous
Playmaking: supernatural Passing: poor
Winger: wretched Defending: weak
Scoring: poor Set Pieces: wretched

He's in poor form so won't be at his best for quite a while, but I wanted an Oceanian so I didn't have to pay the extra 20% to his wages (it isn't a big deal for lower skilled players, but when you start getting into high wages that extra 20% does add up). The poor form is the only reason I got him as cheaply ( ) as I did; supernatural middies normally go for between $8m-$8.5m.

His purchase means this next guy no longer has a spot in my team, he was originally a solid playmaker but has dropped to inadequate over the last couple of seasons. Could be turned into a coach after a season:

Isaya Dorren (4900802)
35 years, inadequate form, healthy
A controversial person who is balanced and dishonest.
Has solid experience and inadequate leadership abilities.

Nationality: Nederland
Total Skill Index (TSI): 130
Wage: 1 248 AU$/week including 20% Bonus

Stamina: excellent Goaltending: wretched
Playmaking: inadequate Passing: passable
Winger: poor Defending: inadequate
Scoring: disastrous Set Pieces: wretched

How long has it taken you guys to get 5mil in the bank?
Even though I now get good crowds and generally get $500-800k for each home game, most of my money comes from selling my trainees. Over the last 2 or 3 months I've been turning over my team a fair bit, selling my older trainees who were at magnificent or world class levels (they sell for $5-6m each) and fixing up other parts of my team as I look to get my team ready for Div IV next season. I'll be selling the last of my 'original' trainees in about five weeks when he hits supernatural, and will then look to buy either a second supernatural IM or a supernatural forward.

That's why I always say that a good training system is the most important thing for a new team. Setting that up and having young, inexperienced trainees may cause you to drop a few points at first, but after a few seasons they'll start getting to good levels and you'll be able to sell them for serious cash.

Maybe that'll be true if he picks up his form. Bought him at poor, and now he's dropped to wretched. #-o

had a huge 11-0 win today, over a new team that must have formed before the game sometime. but that is pretty huge for me! i thought it was quite amazing that noone got a hattrick, 4 got doubles.
but yeah, and i am quite happy to announce that i finally pulled someone with a solid skill! this guy

Michael Chan (57684057)
17 years, passable form, healthy
A popular guy who is temperamental and honest.
Has disastrous experience and wretched leadership abilities.

Speciality: Head

Nationality: Oceania
Total Skill Index (TSI): 710
Wage: 1 227 AU$/week
Owner: Madtown Vikings
Warnings: 0

Stamina: weak Goaltending: disastrous
Playmaking: inadequate Passing: poor
Winger: poor Defending: solid
Scoring: weak Set Pieces: wretched

obviously he doesnt really seem to be that great, but what would you guys suggest i do with him? i dont think i could really expect to get too much for him, but what should i put him down to start at?

so many options, i spose i could even play him! but i'd rather sell him.. players i have now are pretty similar. although not solid

I won 2-1 against my main relegation rival. I'm still 6th, but 6 points clear of 7th. My side also had our highest hatstats rating with 108. I'd figure this is my sides best ever proformance?

I'm finally going to buy my solid trainer. I'm just wondering whether to buy a defensive or attacking minded coach. What should I do?
