Waramanga ended up with a healthy 7-0 win. Hattrick to my forward which is always pleasing.

I dont think though that this run of a few almost impossible to lose cup games is going to help my cause much. Its not going to raise much extra money. I get more from the friendlys that I play.
All the teams in my series will get these easy games also. The trouble is that I cant use the PIC option cause of the wretched leadership of my coach. If the other guys PIC these first few games they have a chance to get a good head start on the rest of us who's coaches arnt so good.
If only I had that 25 million it takes to get an excellent coach with solid leadership.

hey guys, i was wondering whats the best formations, and then what individual and team tactics to go along with it.. for this weekends league clash, i have a 4-5-1 formation, only because it has the most points out of any formation for my players.. and attack on the wings.. an offensive right wing, defensive inner midfield. it sux that you have to work out formation by using extra inner midfield etc. or is there an actual way to do it.
a little help please would be great for me!!

oh and what its MOTS and PIC..
sorry to be such a pain in the ass!! haha

I suggest you have a look at The Pacific Premier too!

Have a look what formations/tactics the REALLY good teams play!...And maybe have a peek at some of the top teams in other countries!!...It'll give u a good idea of what formations work best to get tehe veru best results...roughly!!

As a rough guide i play 3-5-2 generally (Makes for a strong midfield - VERY important in HT as the balance in MF determines the number of CHANCES your forwards get!)

3-4-3 is also great for me, as I am a forward trainer - and I have a number of good strikers who can fill those 3 slots! (Obviously sacrifices a bit of MF (Tho there is a way round that with the specific positioning of your players! ;))and mostly - DEFENCE to boost that attack!)

4-4-2 is good to begin with - well balanced, but not quite as strong in MF as 3-5-2. No real weaknesses in a 4-4-2 though. PLUS - the formation experience of 4-4-2 is ALWAYS excellent - so its a goodun to fall back on sometimes...tho i VERY rarely use it nowadays....i used to a bit here n there when i was new when the situation demanded it tho!

5-4-1 is a good 'smothering' tactic if u have the defenders available 2 pull it off!! I'd use this SOMETIMES against a MUCH stronger opponent than me when i dont think my 3-4-3 attack could crack their defence!....perhaps with the 'Counter Attack' tactic - or 'Pressing' if they werere waayyyyyy better than me!...And just try n snuff them out of the game!...then hope 2 snatch one on the break or from a 'special event' ie from players with good set pieces for eg!

Out of those - 3-5-2 & 3-4-3 are my 2 staples...I rarely stray outside these 2!!...BUT - what works 4 me - and my specific players with their specific skills....may not work for u!...So have a bit of a look round at what the GOOD teams are doing - youll soon get a general picture!! :)

3-5-2 is far & away the most common formation tho!!...

Its postponed.

Teams will not be punished for having a good run in the Oceania Cup. They just make up the remaining LU Cup games at a later date.

Damn, I took a gamble in my league match and it didn't pay off. Not only did I not MOTS, I also put both my wingbacks to offensive for the first time in a real match (did it for the first time in the mid-week cup). Looking at the match stats I would've won the match 6 times out of 10, but unfortunately this was one of the 4 times I didn't.

i had a comfortable 2-0 win.. pretty sure they were cellar dwellers though..
i dont think i can do anything for the next couple of weeks excpt train and play, cause i dont wanna spend anymore money at the moment! i've pretty much used all my money, but i can see that crowds and sponsors will easily make up funds. i just want lots of home league matches now!! cause friendslies yield didley squat!!

Had a 4-0 win over a 6th Div club in the Oceania Cup with my youth side playing....more happy with my defense than my attack!
