Couldn't give a rat's ass about the badge kissing, nevertheless that was Josh Morris and I wouldn't really blame him for being pissed at the Dragons moving him on anyway.

Brett Morris is still a try scorer, and we need try scorers. I would love him on a 2 year contract, possibly to come finish his career with us.
Been there done that.
We don't want players coming to us at the backend of their career, it's harder enough trying to get rid of Nighty.

mmmm Radradra just scored 100m try...He isnt accommodating Macdonald, he plays on the left, Nightingale moved over to the left when BMorris left & Macdonald now has to play on the right..
Yeah Dufty got his chance at R19, that's more an indictment of McIdiot and thats why he needs to go as well with Nightingale...The 2 try's scored by the wingers in the current game no way in hell would Nightingale have scored them... Anyway i don't really care as to why you think he should be in the team or what stat you pull out or what a great guy he is we should never have signed him for another year...
Never once did I refer to Nightingale as a "nice guy" nor is that a criteria for playing FG.
Maybe we shouldn've signed him for another year but then again we should not have signed McGregor either.
I would be completely supportive of a coach that really knows what he's doing and who has the balls to make decisions like retiring Nightingale.
My support for Nightingale comes mostly from the point of view that there is nothing on the horizon that I see better.
There may be a ready made solution in the lower grades but how will we ever be able to assess that if they don't get game time in FG?
I am totally frustrated with the way McGregor selects and structures his backline.
Nightingale may not be greatest winger on the planet but I see the effort he puts in every single week even when the team is playing like shit.
You just can't help but to respect him.
Maybe that makes my position a little clearer.

Both Morris brothers wanted to play together and they got their wish. I can't see them splitting unless forced by Bullgrubs. I believe they should head off to England. Their age, injury prone bodies have had their toll. The Morris boys also mentioned they could play for England due to family links. On the other hand we need tall fast wingers.

McDonald is not a patch on what a return of Brett Morris would be to our side, I can't believe anyone would not welcome him back with huge hugging arms.

Dennis totally agree there might be at least 2or more young fliers who could light up the wings if we had somebody with some imagination and vision. Unfortunately we have JETSKI enough said

https://wwos.nine.com.au/2017/09/18/11/57/nrl-2017-news-cronulla-sharks-set-to-pounce-on-origin-star

Cronulla have opened secret negotiations with Bulldogs and State of Origin wing star Brett Morris.

With Canterbury in massive salary cap strife, the Bulldogs need to offload players - and Morris is high on their list.

The flying flanker will be on around $700,000 next season - big money for a winger - and the Dogs will pay part of his way to Cronulla if a deal is struck.

Morris’ manager has already started informal talks with the Sharks.

The Sharks see Morris as a potential answer to their fullback problems in 2018.

Specialist winger Valentine Holmes inherited Ben Barba’s number one jersey this season and while he was solid, he was not spectacular.

Morris - who has over 100 tries to his name and is renowned as one of the best finishers in the game - has played fullback at times in his career and looked right at home.

The Bulldogs have already released star prop James Graham to St George Illawarra but are still in cap trouble due to a series of heavily back-ended contracts.

In my opion all players should be picked on form. Having said that, for 2018 Mann should be first pick for left wing. He has the pace, passing skills, short kicking game and can catch a high ball. He can return a kick with pace and good footwork. He is very versatile. Lafai whill most probably keep his left centre position.

On the right side, we definitely need to recruit a centre. Aitken is really not up to it and in my opinion should be considered as a utility player or a backrow forward. I'd like to see the Club recruit Roan as our replacement for Dugan at right centre.

On the right wing it should be a matter of recruiting a polished right winger or selecting a winger from within the Club - the form player out of:
Nightingale
MacDonald
One of our young guns

Dufty, Mann, Rona and a young gun would bring more than enough extra speed to our backline.

Interesting they refer to BMoz as being Cronulla's answer to their fullback problems.

They apparently don't think Dugan is a fullback!

What's funny is Morris potentially going to a third club and ruining his legacy further. He didn't think about the future and he could've remained a Dragon for life and be regarded like Lockyer or Hindmarsh are for their previous club. Instead he will become a Phil Blake. Idiot.

That's right though. Flanagan has made that known because they are going with Holmes at FB although plenty if the Sharks supporters question Holmes at FB so maybe Bmoz is their back up plan.
