Wooden spoon
Plenty of Dragons fans were happy to see the back of Ben Hunt, but I think he will have the last laugh on them and prove the buy of the year. After 32 try assists in a poor Dragons side last season, he will revel in the strong Broncos team.

While on the Dragons, the rest of the squad managed just 41 try assists in 2024 and will sorely miss the strike power of both Hunt and Zac Lomax. Big call, but I think they will beat the Tigers home to finish as wooden spooners

I don't bother reading any of his crap but, unfortunately we're an easy target this year given our terrible roster - our forwards are going to struggle, not such a big call really, just a fact.

Really doesn’t know the dynamics of our 2025 squad. Doesn’t factor in Hunt & Lomaxs errors, our very predictable play via Hunts ball hogging & what Holmes, Gutherson & Cook. Bring to the side.
Anyhow Kit our forwards may struggle against the top 4 but not to the extent of getting the spoon !

Hunt has the best PR team in the League he will end up as hooker once that coke head Mam gets back into the team in round 10, he will be lucky to see out the year after being smashed in the forwards for the remainder of the season

Totally agree Denis. Our forwards are no worse than this year and our backs have definitely improved. Not top 4 but a chance for our young forwards to get some game time and experience.

We won 12 last year with a team that was no better and this year we have added Cook to the pack and the Couchies are ready for bigger minutes. They are young, healthy, big, have big motors, good defense and good leg speed so that will help us get over the advantage line. And they can offload. LPT will gradually join the pack too.

This year I want 14 wins and closer losses. I think it is possible.

On roster alone we are 100% favourites for the spoon.. we are banking on our super coach improving the players individually and as a team like he did in 2024.. plus luck with injury... but someone has to get the spoon.. there is no sure thing.. and if Benji cant get his roster up a few cogs it'll be the end of him too.. I think it will be the tightest season in years.

But the Mole is off his rocker lately.. absolute dribble he is posting.. loves a cheap shot at us also.

I'm guessing the Mole isn't a deep thinker, and never watched us play in 2024. If he had, he would have come to the same conclusion as me - that if anything we played better without Ben Hunt, and that we also need a better fullback than Sloane. Both of those issues have been addressed. Given we weren't far off the 8 last year with much the same roster, it's a strange choice on his part. I look forward to him losing even more credibility.

It's a long season and with a little luck with the bounce of the ball and run of injuries, we won't come near the spoon. We'll position higher on the ladder than the rabbits in '25.

Yep he also doesn't know that nearly every play went through Hunt , no one else was allowed to do anything , so yep he had try assists , that's why ....... So if Reynolds gets injured , they will get the same last play crap and ball playing , that we had to endure for 7 years .........

The link below lists error rates for 250 players. Nathan Cleary is #249. Cherry Evans #86. Foran #92. Jarome Luai #52. Kyle Flannagan #181.

Comparing apples to apples, Hunt at #2 is an appalling performance for a 6 or 7.

The mole is a dope with no legitimacy so don’t bother quoting him.

Leave him to the rot in the desert with the scorpions and snakes as his companions.

Well our forward pack is the same pack that we had last year and we nearly made it to top 8 and now we have likes of Cook and Gutherson to utilise and guide them.

Cook and Liddle will share dummy half duties and for first time in years we will the 2 dummy half option that is used a lot by coaches in modern day.

Our second row of Sua, Leilua, RFM and Eisenhuh was competitive last year and if they stay injury free will be the same this year.

If Sele is fit, he can partner F Molo as our staring props. I can see Toby Couchman becoming a permanent first grader this year and maybe knock on state of origin selection 2026. He seems to be one of the best young front rowers. Hopefully we can sign somebody (maybe Lodge) by the time season starts. The only weak link is Laurie. He seems to be going backwards.

Finally JDB should go back to lock. He always plays his best game at lock.

And let's not forget LKT (20 years) and Fifita (23 years). If they finally develop, we will have the monsters that we longed for.
