Has Ange been a success? Bit early to tell really

yes he has and no its not, Spurs fans love what he has done and still winning with around 9 or 10 payers missing each week through injury and suspension

It's the EPL. I would wait until another season before I judge

That'd be great if he does, but I don't even think that the Eels rate him much

Consider the facts, he's a Manly reject who signed for just above minimum wage on a short term deal from the reports.

If we rated him, he would have been offered a much better deal, you know, like Jiral Mormoisea, who we really rate.
I think I had this discussion with you when we signed him. I agree hes not a first grader but he’s going to play plenty of first grade because we don’t have a first grade quality left centre in our whole top 30. It’s a joke really.

fair enough, your call, but the fans who watch every game disagree with you

Spurs fans, who are generally poms from all areas generally don't support an Aussie manager as its never been done in the EPL prior

what the stats or results wont tell you in such a short time, is how he has completely changed the game and how Spurs play, and they absolutley love him, even when we were losing our 4 on the trot, he never stopped playing attacking football when hopelessly undermanned

He's the real deal as he has done it in Japan and Scotland. When he went to Celtic, he had some primma donnas in the team, who he dropped, there was a few of them say for or five from memory

he replaced them with 4 or 5 reserve grade players with the right attitude, and won the premiership

Yep for the most part he did (though he played a fair bit of reserve grade last year). But Penisini has the right centre position sewn up for us. So we have 2 absolute battlers fighting for the left centre position.

Has peni played left before? We used to always change our centres. Oppa, Jennings, ben Smith

But i guess it doesn't suit his footwork and defense how he shows the sideline

Not in first grade, unless he had to switch temporarily due to an injury on that side.

We tried to get him this year. We rated him
and still do.

I never reply to the predictions thread because that is just a set up for a fail.
However, and still, I won't be making a prediction regarding Harper.
I just wonder why we can't all give him the benefit of the doubt before making predictive judgements on his ability, and just wait and see how it pans out.
I parallel this, on a much smaller scale of course, to the reaction of Ange being appointed manager at Spurs.
He has since made so many critics, both fans and media, eat their words.

I would love Morgan to do the same. It's got to be good for all of us if he does, right?
Which is in the spirit of this thread, isn’t it?

Gutherson was an unknown and young quality. He had a Knee reco and Manly went for the more talented and younger player.
We took a gamble. He was quite poor his first month on the wing. Since then he hasn't looked back.
Manly made the right call at the time. Nobody would of know 7yrs ago or so how many injuries Turbo would of gotten. He potentially could of been the best ever to play the game or one of.

Harper is not that young and he is also a known quality. He may prove to be a handy player. I wouldn't hope for much more then that. High chance he is a good depth player and that's what he was signed for. Anything more is a bonus.
