a little too self absorded! for my liking..some of these bands try and get out of their way to make an epic out of an album.

I think the "Physical Graffiti" and the "White album" has alot to answer for.

One of their later albums? I didn't really give them too much time in their later years. For some reason Corgan's voice got more whiney the older he got..

He was a great singer, excellent song writer, but that whiney voice just got to me in the end.

Yep Brian Molko has the same thing but Corgan really brought it to a new level near the end of SP.

Justin Hawkins doesn't have the body for a one-peice lycra suit, neither does Freddie Mercury or Gene Simmons, but f**k, 'tis rock 'n' roll!

Love Wasp's Crimson Idol CD. :thumnn
Other groups from your list I like are Gunners, Police, Pre "Slang" Def Leppard, Van Halen.

Some non-metal groups I like are Ice house, Inxs, Pink Floyd.

On the Metal side are groups like Maiden, Dream Theater, Iced Earth Stratovarious, Dark Tranquility etc.

Pink Floyd- Comfortably Numb, Learning to Fly, Hey You, Time, Wish you were here, Run Like Hell, Us & Them

KISS- I was made for loving you, sure know something, Shandi, Tears are Falling, forever, God gave Rock n' Roll to you, I want you, Love Gun, Detroit Rock City, Physco Circus, Beth, Deuce.

Crimson Idol is just brillant, the guitar work aswell as Blackys vocals on the song are amazing.

Freddie was great! He is still an icon in Japan - everywhere I went there earlier in the year you could hear a Queen song booming out of somewhere... crazy.

Placebo Best Of CD with two new songs (and a bonus disc of remixes) released over here last week, Eela....

not sure how it differs to the Australian version of the album. It really annoys me when bands release best offs and chuck in 1 or 2 new songs to make the punter who's already spent thousands on the band over the years, pay up again for 2 lousy new songs
