I have noticed Dragons fans leaving the ground early lots of times actually.

You wouldn't notice if a bus was up you. Even when all the passengers disembarked.

I would like to say the row of Roosters supporters in fron of my at the GF last year who screamed themselves hoarse all game calling Mason a little b*tch and El Masri a towelhead but yet with a minute or so left in the game, their Roosters with the ball and with a chance to win the game they upped and left. Not exactly what you'd call fans with a lot of faith.
But meh all fans have their moments, depends on whehter your talking about fickle crowds or fickle in places such as this. Sharks probably take the cake on forums, Penrith and Parra have the fickle crowds especially Parra who'll boo their team off the field at the drop of a hat

BBSF, ur mob arent exactly not fickle either. See the reaction after u lost to Souths?? Christ, we even got beaten by a bigger margin by Souths and didnt carry on half as much as what the Sharks fans did.

Newy fans are awesome. Every game I've been to against them there's been a sh*tload of their fans there.

I remember in the dark old days when Newcastle were sh*te and we were sh*te, a bloody trainload of the bastards pulled up at Leumeah station. Incredible stuff.

I love all League supporters, the most fickle supporters in Sydney belong to the transplanted ballet dancers, the Swans.

Many fine contenders...but if I can just say one - PARRAMATTA!!!

I have NEVER witnessed people throwing their jerseys onto the field...season tickets thrown away...And I have never seen fans BOOING their own team AS OFTEN...as they do!

I have never seen or heard of a Bulldogs jersey thrown away...I have never seen or heard of a Bulldogs season ticket ripped up...and I have NEVER - EVER heard Bulldogs fans BOO their own team!!! And I have been attending games regularly for more than 25 years now!...And we've SURE had our dizzying ups 'n our sub-terranean downs in that 25 years!

It is easily the Eels.

When on song, they are probably the 'most supported' team in Sydney.

2001 was testiment to that.

And when things are going poorly, well 7000 vs the Cowboys in May says it all too.

As far as mentioning the Dragons ? I don't think anything could be further from the truth.

We hear of this 'massive dragons army' that is always around 13,000 people.

The dragons seriously only have about 13,000 fans, they just all happen to turn up every game.

i have heard the boys booed only twice, and thats twice too many whilst i could understand their anger in those games it certaintly left a sour taste in my mouth.

as for ripping up tickets when exactly did you witness this!!!!!!!!!!

throwing jerseys on the field, please a couple of guys in the stand threw their jerseys
on the ground in disgust

maybe we should ask who's supporters would you like to least sit with mmm

Great thread.

Roosters.

On Sunday at Telstra Stadium these Rooster dudes where sitting behind us and they were going on like..., "I can't believe we are losing to this team, Wests are a team of rejects, they are losers man, like Wests Tigers they are the worst ever team, how are we losing to them, what is going on, Ricko's he's should have retired etc etc etc..."

I quickly reminded him that his Champion Roosters have now lost to the Reject Wests Tigers twice this year.

Roosters, closet supporters.

We also have some of the worst. Every team have rat bag supporters and we have alot of them.

We are the most loyal fans though. Most are like me and my friends who go to have fun and enjoy the friendly banter.

You'd rate VERY highly in THAT particular little poll too, dooooon't you worry about THAT pal!!!

As for the season tickets - that is something I read and saw on the news at the time of all the jersey throwing etc...I remember ONE particular blue n gold space cadet interviewed on Sports Tonight or Fox or somesuch - saying "I just tore up my Parra season ticket in protest! HURHURHURHURHUR!!"

I remember him, because I VIVIDLY remember thinking @ the time..."Uhhhh - well - they've already GOT your $$$ dumbarse!!...do u think THEY actually CARE about you!?!?!?"

I'd like to know which team other forum watchers consider to be the NRL's Most Fickle.

Fickle, being: 1: marked by erratic changeableness in affections or attachments; 2: liable to sudden unpredictable change; "erratic behavior"; "fickle weather"; "mercurial twists of temperament"; "a quicksilver character, cool and willful at one moment, utterly fragile the next"

Consider;

  • ALL teams' coaches & playing staff cop a bagging after a loss
  • ALL losing teams' fans have a scapegoat (more than one, depending on the loss)
  • ALL supporters hate losing key players from their roster
However, I think there are one or two standout groups of supporters (& yes, I generalise here) who all seem to be ball-tearingly obnoxious when they win, & moronic when they lose.

Which team's fans deserve the title of the NRL's Most Fickle?

So who do you think those teams are?

And BBSF, the question wasn't "whose fans you don't like" it was who's fans are most fairweather/fickle.

I'll say Parramatta fans.

Dragons fans support their team on the radio via talkback calls more than actually going to the games.

You're right, they aren't, because we simply aren't like that. There's too much passion in the blue and white. IMO, the salary cap and alleged rape claims got rid of our fickle fans, anyone left is blue white and blue all over.
