The Official Dylan Brown thread

The best aspect of Dylan's game? 25 tackles, 0 missed, 0 ineffective. Outstanding.
As much as he looked very good with the ball in hand, I was especially impressed with his defence. There was at least one but maybe a couple of really impressive last-ditch grabs that stopped a probable line-break.

Heard all the talk in the pre season about how Brown was special. Well, come game day he put in a great debut. Key word: composure. He has it in spades in attack and defence.

Between him and Mahoney we have the makings of a great spine.

Gutho was awsome too. If Moses plays that way consist

What a debut, have we seen a better, more calm and composed debut from a young half???

How much time does he seem to have??? The way he straightens the attack makes me wet around the wee wee.

His combo with Lane is also promising, not afraid to do his bit in defence and not afraid to step up with the game on the line. We have a winner here peeps. It’s so exciting.

I did notice that he seems to have all the time in the world. He's got them in 2 minds. It was a very impressive debut. How good is it that we get first dibs on him?

Im sold after one game, get it done Bern and the Trolley pusher. I have been prone to going off early but I think I’m safe here. The kid is just soooooooooo good. And tough as well.

Buzz Rothfield has an article this AM about panic signings.

Clubs that have spent too much coin as a product of FOMO.

Brown was composed and error free, but let’s think with our heads and not go and throw $750k x 5 years at him just yet. We have until the end of the season to sign him up long term. I hope we take a measured approach to Brown, our war chest and roster.

I’d like to see some more of Salmon, if he can make the side.

Sharks have Bogan for another 3 years? How long do they have Xerri for? Perhaps Salmon can have a word to him

Yeah I agree, let’s wait until the end of the year when interest in him won’t be too high. I mean why lock him long term now when he can continue to tear it up and his price increases every game.......

You know I thought today would be a sarcasm free day after a solid win. How silly of me.

Ok Hiney, you're in charge. Do you focus on the 24yo No.7 who has 100+ FG games behind him who was instrumental in our win yesterday or do you throw the bank at Brown ?

If we decide Moses is in our future plans why can’t we focus on both?

We should have plenty of space in this year’s cap to frontload and we only have a handful of merkins signed beyond this year.

If Moses keeps playing like he did yesterday why not both???

The sooner we extend him the better, Plodders like Hunt are on over a million.

Well I think it['s fair to say that there might be some $Bronco$, $Roosters$ and $Warriors$ thrown about for a decent half.. They all need a 7 badly. If Moses has a good half dozen games, he could be the best 7 on the market. He is already off contract and ripe for the picking.

True, but we would be in one of the strongest cap positions for next year and beyond. We could decide to prioritise both halves and work backwards from there to fill the squad if need be.
