gees I hope young Dylan brown stays grounded and doesn’t get to big for his boots with everyone blowing smoke up his ass.
He has played 1 good 1st grade game. Let’s see another 20+ like last Sunday and then start throwing some coin at him.
The important thing to remember is that no player's bigger than the club. Paying this kid massive overs would be worse than losing him.

I’m all for paying people what they’re worth. But At least cement a position in first grade before you start taking about being a Millionaire and going “fishing” ffs. Who’s advising this kid? Brown comes off as money hungry in this article, Not smart at all.

He certainly does.
“This whole every kid wants to be a millionaire” rubbish needs to stop.
I hope for his sake someone gets him to pull his head in because that article makes him look like a complete knob.

And that's pretty much his agent's job. He's the player's agent, and if the Eels are indeed trying to negotiate an extended deal with the kid, he'll try to make sure its the best possible or not sign.

to an extent maybe

if Dylan is happy at Parra. who brought his family over to provide a support base for him while developing his game as a youngster, you cant put a value on that

is that what Brown wants ? or his money hungry agent ?

if we make him a decent offer and some one like the chooks or Broncos come along and match that and add $100k in TPAs, the agent will be pushing him in that direction whether he wants to go there or not

the agents only sell to the highest bidder with no concern for the player, remember what happened with Hayne and the Tits ? he obviously didn't want to go there but was given no choice by his agent as his only response to Parra was "you'll have to sharpen your pencil"

if you are trying to convince me that the agents only work for their clients best interest, you got no chance

Yes he had a good debut but one game is far too early to make a call. Hopefully the kid remains grounded and let’s his footy do the talking, otherwise he could end up like Mundine.

As for the media and hype around him, can’t help but think everyone’s gone off half cooked.

Ummm....where did I say that agents only work in their clients interest. Their interests sometimes intersect, and sometimes don't. But if you are currently negotiating on your clients behalf, in an environment when other clubs are not allowed to make an offer, then you'd certainly want to make the expected value of outside opportunities known.

I doubt Dylan Brown wants to test his value, more like his agent wants to test his value.

Considering it was his agent that approached the warriors (supposedly) about brown, I guess your comment has some merit.

More premature ejaculation than the start of a meeting at Bones on Bones.

Just let him play football.
