47k @ MCG? Given the sport is supposed to be a saturated one in Melbourne, that's pretty pisspoor. By comparison we had a team normally averaging 12k bring 21k into a stadium they rarely play in.

21k isnt that great for the Storm, they had no competition in Melbourne really as the AFL final was between one of the leagues lowest drawing teams and an interstate side on a cold and windy night whilst the Storm were indoors at a huge and much more comfortable stadium than their home ground

The Storm were also playing possibly their biggest arch rival and a rematch of last years Grand final, no one gives a sh*t about the Dogs and Lions  Besides any neutral fans will be going to tomorrow nights game whilst Storm is the only league team in the state yet still cant draw more than 21k

The AFL game would usually have been played at Etihad and been a full house

Storm get enough coverage to fill a postage stamp

Wall to wall coverage of the flogball final which did involve 1.5 Melb teams. MCG less than half full.

Good to see 21k choosing the RL tonight.

We need some sort of photo to warn of inappropriate Victorian posts.

Yep, 21k out of 4,000,000 who had no interest in the AFL game tonight chose the RL, well done

47k is not a full house at Etihad. Just look at Origin crowds there to find out:lol:

Storm 21k for their most recent home final (ignored by Melb media)

Swans 19k for most recent home final (given a great run in Sydney media and on free-to-air):lol:

you do realise that RL is shown at past midnight there?

90% of people probably weren't even alerted that a Storm final was going on tonight..

Plenty of Victorians would've been interested in the AFL tonight you silly Victorian.

Stop playing it down, it's the semi finals ffs. As if flogball fans weren't going to choose to watch an AFL semi.

Swans 19k for most recent home final in a city of how many??:lol::lol:

Its the 2 least supported teams in the finals, the no1 supported team is playing tomorrow night in the most interesting final of the weekend, that will get the neutrals

Besides if anyone was interested in the game tonight, it was on FTA on only a 30 minute delay, why go out on a freezing cold night with a gale blowing when you can watch it on TV?

Storm dont have the same excuse seeing as the game is on at Midnight and the ground is indoors

Some of the most pathetic apologising for a sport I have ever read:lol::lol::lol:

The truth is that neither of those crowds was anything to write home about. 21k for a GF rematch is nothing special, nor is 47k for the AFL.

The Storm got more than the Swans did in their final in Sydney last year.

Not bad when they get no coverage on FTA to help build on their core support.
