Great win by Sally in her heat.

What about those Boomers with a goal at 00:1 to win vs Russia. Shit happens Ruskis.

We're a chance in shooting and sailing tonight

Steve Solomon's final is 6:30am.

it was a 3 pointer too :D

Sally was great this morning. Just shows that technique in hurdles is more important than fast twitch negro muscle fibres.

Props to Anna Mears too.

More medals on the way. Mathew Mitchim & the young girl Wu are big chances in the 10m diving. Sailing. Mens Hockey. Womens basketball.

We also have the current world champion Sam Willoughby in the BMX who is yet to ride.

And we have a strong chance in the Individual Jumping (Equestrian) in Edwina Tops-Alexander who is sitting well after 3 rounds with the finals on tonight.
(her nephew goes to school with my daughter so we are forced to be "into" it)

I find it hard to get excited about the jumps and dressage as it does not seem to be a sport for the common man. Most Olympic sports (if not all) are accessible to most of the population (yes not in all countries, but most there as well), whereas to be successful in Equestrian you need to have a hayeater worth $100s of thousands and compete full time in europe.

Am I wrong here ?

No, probably not wrong but does it matter?
My plumber's nephew made the quad kayaking final or something that is on tonight I think.
They won their semi final.
He gave up work at the beginning of the year and has been competing internationally in preparation. That would take a bit of dosh I reckon.

Suity
