Looking to clarify all the original home grounds. i.e. where each club played their first premiership match.

I am missing a few. Not sure if I have them all correct

Norths - NSO
Souths - Redfern?
Easts - Sports Ground?
Wests - Pratten Park
Newtown -
Glebe -
Cumberland -
Newcastle (1908) -
Balmain -
Annandale -
University -
StGeorge - Hurstville Oval
Canterbury -
Manly - Brookvale
Cronulla -
Penrith -
Illawarra - Wollongong Showground
Canberra - Seiffert
Broncos - Lang Park
Gold Coast (1988) - Seagulls
Knights - Newcastle Int Sports Ground
Auckland - Carlaw Park
NQ - Dairy Farmers (Willows?)
SQ - Lang Park
Reds -
Hunter -
Adelaide - Hindmarsh
Storm - Olympic Park
Titans - Skilled

Are these venues still used today, and if so, what sports are played there?

Any photos, past or present, would be good.

What was the fans experience of moving venues? e.g Lidcombe to Campbelltown, Seiffert to Bruce

Newtown played at Erskineville Oval first I think, then Marrickville, then Henson

Annandale shared Wentworth Park I'm pretty sure.

Didnt seem to be set home grounds for a while. Souths and Easts both used the Agricultural a fair bit and the sports ground before Souths finally went to Redfern in 1947

Balmain played at Birchgrove Oval to start with - played Wests there!

The state cup teams played there in 2008 as part of the centenary celebrations, then a ball relay was held to the scg for the NRL game against the rabbits.

I nearly got run down by Buckets that day!

Penrith has been at the same ground since 1967 - first known as Penrith Park, then Penrith Stadium.

Cronulla played their couple of seasons at Sutherland Oval.

Cronullas first home ground was Sutherland Oval. They moved to Endeavour, which they own and still occupy in 69. Sutherland Oval is still in pretty original shape.

Auckland - Carlaw Park

I'm sure the Warriors have been at Mt Smart Stadium since 1995, but Carlaw Park hosted test matches. Auckland residents will be able to confirm this, but I'm sure it's now been demolished and replaced with something else.

Adelaide Rams first ground was Adelaide Oval
Reds=The WACA
Hunter=Breaker/Topper stadium
Glebe=Wentworth Oval
Uni=University Gorund 1?

Moving from Carrara to Skilled.
Much more comfortable and way better vision of the game, could be quite fun at cararra though shaking the crappy old grandstand till it felt like it was going to collapse ha ha

Yes they played the first premierships to be played in New Zealand at Carlaw Park but the Warriors have always played out of Mt Smart Stadium

Also Newcastle 1908 I believe played at the Newcastle Showground

I would love it if they never updated that paint job on Belmore. I spent alot of time there as a kid. My racist dad gave up on the Bulldogs when the instigated "multicultural day" in the 90s. True story.

I think you will find Balmains first ground was Birchgrove Oval. Wests used Wentworth Park and I think Newtown did. Souths I think used St Johns Oval which is now gone. Saints first ground was Earl Park at Arncliffe - also gone. The Chooks were always at the SSG. Norths were always at NSO. Canterbury were at Belmore. Parra was at the same hallowed address Cumberland Oval/Parramatta Stadium, except during the construction of the great and holy shrine. In those years we brought some much needed glory to Belmore.

Isn't it now called Richie Benaud Oval?

Newtown's first home ground was Metter's Ground in Erskineville, then Erskineville Oval, Marrickville Oval, then Henson Park.

Wests first home ground was St. Luke's Oval in Concord, ironically on or near the site of current Concord Oval where Wests Tigers are now based.

Warriors never used Carlaw as a home ground
they were at Mt Smart from day 1
