Uni=University Gorund 1?
Uni weren't allowed to play at the University due to the Yawnion hierachy. Anyone who played for the league team was given a life ban from ever playing rugby as well.

They played and trained at the Sports ground with Easts. They never played a single game at the Uni.

Titans spent their first year at Carrara.
That was only a few years ago...and I can't really rememebr that...maybe I'm getting old!

Cronullas first home ground was Sutherland Oval. They moved to Endeavour, which they own and still occupy in 69. Sutherland Oval is still in pretty original shape.
Sutherland Oval or Seymour Shaw Oval?

Newtown's first home ground was Metter's Ground in Erskineville, then Erskineville Oval, Marrickville Oval, then Henson Park.

Wests first home ground was St. Luke's Oval in Concord, ironically on or near the site of current Concord Oval where Wests Tigers are now based.

WOW! great stuff Bluebags... I've never heard of Metters Ground or St.Lukes.

Glebe - Wentworth Oval
Cumberland -No Home Ground. Played their 9 games at the Ag Park, Birchgrove and Wentworth Oval.
Newcastle (1908) - Played all their games away in '08. In '09 they played Home games at the Newcastle Showgrounds.
University - Sydney Sports Ground

Gee, it seems there was a lot of sahring going on in the early years!

BTW Haffa, it is my understanding, they used Wentworth Park (not oval)...where the dog track sits today. They used to play on the field in the middle, and I think it is still used for soccer today.

Adelaide Rams first ground was Adelaide Oval
Reds=The WACA
Hunter=Breaker/Topper stadium
Glebe=Wentworth Oval
Uni=University Gorund 1?

Moving from Carrara to Skilled.
Much more comfortable and way better vision of the game, could be quite fun at cararra though shaking the crappy old grandstand till it felt like it was going to collapse ha ha
Uni wouldnt have been let on the main ground thanks to rugby union

Canterbury's only 'home' game in their debut season was at Pratten Park.

Interestingly found this picture of Carlaw Park from when it was first being established (turned from market gardens to rugby league field)

Nope. Hurstville was first, then Earl Park
Are you sure? The Earl Park Riot was in 1921.

Edit: First home game was against Wests at Praten park, then SCG 2 against Easts, then Newtown at the SSG, then Hurstville against Sydney Uni. The same site (stats/rleague.com) suggests they only played Balmain at Birchgrove.

Earl Park, 11 August 1928: Following a fiery on-field encounter between St George and Balmain, Earl Park has erupted into crowd violence. The match was won 21-3 by St George in front of 6000 people, but not before fighting between players spilled across the ground. An all in brawl followed and spectators got involved. Police intervened using hand cuffs, batons and fists in an effort to quell what the press have dubbed, 'the Earl Park riot'.
According to reports, St George players retaliated when team mate George Carstairs was kicked about the head by a Balmain player.
It appears the source of the crowd's aggravation was referee Brannaghan who lost control of the match when he sent off St George forward Harry Flower early in the second half but allowed Balmain players to stay on the field.
The incident with Carstairs occurred five minutes from fulltime. Earlier, Carstairs had been kicked in the face while playing the ball but on this occasion he was knocked unconscious when kicked in the head by Balmain forward, Tony Russell. Brannaghan's decision to only cautioned Russell brought a strong reaction from players, officials, and the crowd.
St George coach, Frank Burgh and secretary, Reg Fusedale approached Brannaghan for an explanation following an on field brawl amongst the players.
The game continued but another incident at fulltime escalated the already volatile situation. With the match over, Balmain's George Bishop began chasing St George five eighth, Arnold Traynor.
This infuriated sections of the crowd as hundreds invaded the pitch with the intention of seeking revenge on the Balmain players. St George supporters ripped off fence palings to be used as weapons and one witness reported seeing a man running around behind the grandstand with an axe!
Police arrived but not before Russell was badly beaten by the crowd. He suffered leg and head injuries and was put into the same ambulance as George Carstairs where it was reported that Russell attempted to assault Carstairs and ambulance officers had to intervene to restrain him. Dairy Farmers stadium was called 'Stockland Stadium' in the beginning (the shopping centre mob)

Before the Cowboys were admitted in 1995 I'm pretty sure Dairy Farmers Stadium was a trotting venue. The non sponsor name is still Willows Sports Complex.

So which club has had the most home grounds?

We have had 3 - the migghty Cumberland Oval, the abysmal Belmore and the hallowed Parramatta Stadium. There have also been a coupe of one offs - Pioneer Oval in Parkes (where we outdrew crowds in Adelaide) and ANZ

So I have compiled a list. (please advise if I have any errors)

In answer to Loudy's question, regarding who has used the most home grounds, it looks like Newtown (5), Souths (4), Wests (4).
I would suggest Parra & Easts have used the same home 'venue', except during the construction stage of new stadiums.

Norths – North Sydney Oval
Souths – St.Johns Oval > Redfern > SFS > Homebush
Easts – Sydney Sports Ground > HensonPark (temporary use, for construction of…) > SFS (same location as SSG)
Wests – St.Lukes Concord > PrattenPark > Lidcombe > Campbelltown
Newtown – Metters Ground in Ernskineville > Erskenville Oval > Marrickville Oval > HensonPark > Campbelltown
Glebe – Wentworth Park
Cumberland – no home ground for one & only season. Used Ag, Birchgrove & Wentworth Park
Newcastle (1908) – Newcastle Show Ground
Balmain – Birchgrove Oval > Leichhardt
Annandale - Wentworth Park
University – Sydney Sports Ground
StGeorge - Hurstville Oval > Earl Park > Kogarah
Canterbury – Belmore > Homebush (*used MarrickvilleOval & PrattenPark in first year)
Manly – Brookvale
Parramatta – Cumberland Oval > Belmore (temporary use, for construction of…) > Parramatta Stadium (same location as Cumberland)
Cronulla – Sutherland Oval > Toyota Stadium (formerly Endeavour Field, Caltex Field, Ronson Field, Shark Park)
Penrith – Penrith Park known today as CUA Stadium
Illawarra - Wollongong Showground known today as WIN Stadium
Canberra – Seiffert Oval > Bruce Stadium aka Canberra Stadium
Broncos - Lang Park > QEII > Suncorp (same location as Lang Park)
Gold Coast (1988) – Seagulls
Knights - Newcastle Int Sports Ground known today as Ausgrid Stadium
Auckland – Mt.Smart Stadium
NQ – Stockland Stadium known today as Dairy Farmers Stadium
SQ - Lang Park
Reds - WACA
Hunter – Breakers (Toppers) Stadium
Adelaide – Adelaide Oval > Hindmarsh
Storm - Olympic Park > AAMI Stadium
Titans – Carrara > Skilled

In our short and not so illustrious history the Western/Perth Reds played at:
North sydney Oval (now nib stadium) (1 game 1997 and some pre season trials)
WACA (main ground and a terrible RL experience!)
and played a couple of games at Bassendean Oval (pre season trials)

They were discussing with Burswood to play games indoors at the Burswood dome at one point as well!
