Sorry, wouldn't know. Wasn't at that game.

Vics got a skollars highlights video which this came from and is good.

This was an extraordinary tackle, so we cut the movement up and it’s “unfortunate demise” and made a quiz out of it.

We had an outing too with AD kicking that pearler v the knights in the early round. But the general pleasure of that game was the composure and resilience 👌we witnessed and the promise it held.

In a season with a scarcity of highlights, we had red hot go.

It was all a dream of course, but a rare moment in the sunlight of players in a good headspace. I was thrilled and excited at what lay ahead until reality hit hard and kept hitting and pulverised us all the way to the dogs debacle.

Have to say Im sorry making the opening comment on this thread. LU was civilised until people have piled on and made this particular thread nuts. All I was doing was making an observation about civility and respect whilst having differing opinions. Apologies gang.

These funny pricks are a lively bunch that's for sure. We should be thanking you for the entertainment.

The club recently confirmed Noddy has been upgraded to training the nrl halves.

I don’t think there’s much Noddy doesn’t know about halves and back lines.
True. This is the bloke that kept the eighth immortal and fellow Novocastrian out of the halves for Country, NSW and Australia. Considering Johns has gone back to Newcastle, I can't imagine a better halves coach. I'm just waiting for the NRL to step in and prevent it from happening like the last time we tried to get a halves coach.

It’s heresy, but Moses had a better season.

If I recall Brett’s game he was a master of the switch, deception and explosive running game replete with step and pass. A bit of the natural freak. A good jinker, hated dying with the ball.

I remember the great half backs, they were so incredibly dominant compared to today’s model. They seemed to be able to win a lot more games for their teams.

Just to be a bit cheeky, if a modern day half, under contemporary rules, protected for 75 minutes, if he kicks a bomb and it bounces, all of a sudden he’s playing origin, dally m finalist.

I guess it’s a phase thing in the game.

The rise of the 5/8th has been good value, your Cody Walkers, your Munsters etc but then again, Brett Kenny and Laurie Daley!

The era of the outside back will be a wonder but I’m not sure anyone alive today will live to see it. Maybe AD will kick it off if Brooksy and Hastings fire! That would be ok actually.

Hardly a massive challenge and he isn’t young. For me Cayless is a dark horse for head coach. He’s had a look around Easts as assistant coach, (obviously no career pathway there or at the eels).

He was captain of the Eels for years. He captained the kiwis to World Cup glory in 2008. He grew up in the west. He’s got influence, authority and respect from the players written all over him. He exudes the qualities that the guys will gravitate around that madge doesn’t have. He uses words like “discussions with players” that Madge wouldn’t understand. He speaks so easily and everything he says is on point.

Imo he will over a short period of time, stand out like dogs balls to everyone at WT, as next cab off the rank. Obviously a big call at this early stage but to me he looks like with some guidance from Sheens, if things go to plan he could fit into the head position like a hand in a glove, unless I’m missing something. His words although subtle, indicated head coach is his goal. He’s landed in the right spot at the right time thats for sure.
He needs to fix our defense before he can even dream of any of that.
Not saying he's not capable of it but if he doesn't get our D in some form of unity and cohesion he won't get the chance in future

Lol, there seems to be some baggage here, there and everywhere!

They have the old DNA though, like coming across some cousins with the same earlobes or wrist thickness or something!

Something familiar about them. It’s a bit uncanny lol!

You’re about the last person on this forum to need to apologise for anything!! You go good.

Yes I’m hoping and looking forward to seeing which way that goes. I’m thinking it can’t be that hard to improve something that currently has no defence strategy in place. It’s baffling like it’s been for a lot of things since Madges arrival.

It’s easy to think it’s mission impossible but its got to be either lack of knowledge of a strategy or lack of communication of the strategy or lack of interest from the players or lack of interest from Madge. I can see Cayless getting the players attention

I think Madges head fk of everyone in his orbit will be quickly uncovered and fixed soon enough. I’m expecting fireworks eventually.

I think Madge knows it’s a battle he can’t seriously win and after the Royal commission, I’ve changed my view …and he will succumb.

He’s held the fort and is now swamped with the new regime.

Looking at it logically, it’s easier for him to quietly surrender and do his masters bidding.

He can’t be faulted for implementing someone else’s vision. He’s a soldier like everyone else now.

As soon as Lee got all vague and foggy about the power relationship, the chain of command, we found out the truth.

It’s nothing to worry about ….unless it fails. It’s not automatic fail. It could be quite good for everyone. Something had to change, it has.

I think the problem STP is your constant rambling after every post that takes up most of the page .. Like you've got your own Q&FknA news paper column. Theyre mostly hard work and meaningless.
