I got downvoted on reddit for saying that Bellamy was a failure in origin, he definitely was. NSW’s performances in 2009/2010 were the worst origin teams I’ve ever seen. Hayne was the only reason why the Blues finished as close as they did in 2009 before going down in the 2010 sweep. Those selections and game plans just had me shaking my head. 2 wins from 9 games says it all really. Was cheering when he was shown the door. You could easily see NSW play better in 2011 under Stuart.Bingo. Yet I have people defending him by going "Yeah but look at those Qld sides he was up against- nobody was beating them".
I don't agree- two of those series were close losses that could've gone the other way. Regardless of who Qld had in their squad between 2008-2010, those Bellamy NSW teams played some of the grubbiest, most one-dimensional football I've seen. It gave a real insight into what the Storm would've been like without Slater, Inglis, Smith and Cronk to close out games for them.
It's glorious being an Eels fan and living in Brisbane these days. the amount of people i know who refuse to talk footy these days after just a couple of bad seasons is laughable. Weak merkins, imagine them actually supporting a club like the Eels,Dragons,Souths or Sharks the last 40 odd years??? They couldn't hack it.

Origin is such a short time to get a hold of the team. You need to just be able to steer them in the right direction. You can't have a "my way or the highway" type of control that I'm sure Martina has.
Hopefully kev will build a strong team for when it’s time to get a real coachKevvie may be or may not be a good coach
There's no way to know with our current roster, he does get the Brisbane culture though and what is expected, mediocrity isn't one of those things and the fact he's making moves to overhaul the roster is a good thing. Although for this season, we will continue to cop beatings, struggle to win another game.. all of that
So much adversity
Kevvie may be or may not be a good coach
