Henriques is the new Harvey- mark my words. Hope Butterworth gets in (he is pretty cute as well). But he is the best young all-rounder we have,

Butterworth is more a batsman than bowler, but he looks very promising. Henriques has four yrs on Butters. We'll see you eating your words by then.

I rather a batting all-rounder to be honest. Bowling all-rounders just don't work. Noffke would be the best one and the closest we have to a bowling all-rounder. But would he be that at test level? I have my doubts. Handy with the bat, but thats it. Butterworth could easily play till he is 35, and then Henriques will have missed the boat!

I wouldn't rate Henriques as a bowling all rounder just because he recently cleaned up in a second 11 game.

He has modified his action and has a very short run up which worries me a bit, he looks to contain than take wickets.

He is as genuine an all rounder as I have seen for a while

Problem is Twiz, I rate Butterworth as a batsmen more and he is just as good as a containing bowler. He needs to be a out and out bowling allrounder or improve his batting A LOT!

which bowlers have been injured?

Hilfenhaus missed the first couple of games being in India but since he has been back he has been out of form

Wright was playing 2nd XI last i knew

who else do they have?

VIC 1/101

Griffith, Wright (just coming back from injury, that is why he played in the 2nds) plus Hilfenhaus..that plus Butterworth was not allowed to bowl for a portion of the year. That is most of their attack from last year missing.

Their batting has been largely fine though (today I agree, but that was unusual this year). Tassie average over 300 for every first innings this season. Now whilst 300 isn't great..it hardly means that the batting has been awful. It is the bowling that is a big problem, and without half the attack of last year this will continue.

VIC 1/111 @ stumps trailing by 57 runs

what was more disappointing today about Tassie's batting was that the leading PC wicket taker Denton wasn't playing, Mick Lewis (who is a good 1st class bowler) wasn't playing and the leading spinner in the PC this season Bryce McGain didn't get a bowl either
