The refs

Let's wait for those Manly fans to come out and argue how that first decision by the ref they've so condemned was correct...

We should all be enjoying KARMA.

Great to see Manly scum NOT having a referee hand them games. I love it.

Keep whining, all you Manly scum fans. Big dose of karma.

And, by the way, that gurgling noise isn't Peter Peters on his 30th pint. It's your final 8 chances going down the toilet!

Of course he said that, if he went out and just said something about the forward pass without pointing to something that balanced it out then he'd look like an even bigger muppet than he already does.

Either way, according to the rules both tries should not have been allowed. Let's take away Manly's 4 points, Parra's 6. Eels still win 18 - 16.

Both sides were laying on players in the tackles...

When is the referring in the NRL going to improve???

Deadset, this isn't the only match in 2010 they have stuffed up, countless matches in 2009 and an inmeasuarable amount of matches in the past where ref's have blatantly screwed up and it has decided the outcome of a match.

With the technology and professionalism we have in this day and age, it is not forgivable that referees 'make mistakes'.. that's a fair enough excuse for players screwing up and determining an outcome of a match, but the level of the sport of Rugby League is being reduced by the incompacity of the referees in first grade in Rugby League in Australia.
Why is it,that in the under 20s games there seems to be a lot less mistakes than in the N.R.L.

You make a great point.
I've said for a long time they should bring back an in-goal judge at each end and scrap the video ref.
There will still be mistakes but the refs will be forced to make a quick judgement and keep the flow of the game going.
They should cap the number of replays shown during the game and commentators should ease up on criticism of the calls.
We all know when they get it wrong but when they harp on the bad calls it creates negative media for the officials and the whole NRL.

I'd love to know where this superior standard of referee that we're judging the current crop against is hiding. Can someone please point me to the competition they're working in and tell me why they're not running around in the NRL or ESL?

Anyone? Anyone?
I didn't think so. OK, back to your whinging lads.

Leigh.
