The Ricky Stuart myth

Loudy will continually bring up the fact Sticky is working with someone elses squad this year, yet he fails to mention he was also riding the coattails of Graham Murray's squad when he guided Easts to the premiership in 2002.

Predictably he's done f**k all since

Also lost Australia the unloseable WC on home soil

Obviously Fittler was mainly responsible for the Chuks winning the 2002 title; but regarding the 2008 WC Final, Price and Tate got injured, the refereeing was slightly against them and Slater threw that wild pass, I don't think you can blame Stuart for that loss. But he's a guy most wouldn't want to be around for long, he would drain you.

"They won't want to get beaten by a team going for nine straight losses", says Stuart . . . on how Hasler will gee up his blokes this weekend and make it harder for the Eels. If he was not able to talk he would make a better coach.

I still odn't understand what Ricky has done this year to make Parra fans think he is a good coach. What improvement has there been?

He sacked half the squad.

Yeah but if he was a good coach then the squad he has at the moment should have shown some sort of improvement. He should be able to come up with a gameplan in both attack and defence that will make the best use of what he has got. Instead they are scoring less points and conceding more then what they did last year. I don't expect miracles from him and get Parra in the top 8 but the players that he does have now are going backwards.

Yeah Ricky has put together a better looking squad next year.

But then, Kearney looked like he had done that at one point too

I guess Mick Potter is never going to be a successful coach then.

So sad his career lasted a whole year.

SK is a myth, and the reason we are in this mess.

RS has well and truly cleared the deadwood.

If he is sacked or walks early in 2014, he would of fulfilled his purpose.

He wouldn't of been my first choice, but has done a decent job to date.

Hopefully his plan pays off, and we are once again a contendor in '14.

Wants to rest for the WC apparently. What makes this plonker think he can waltz straight into the Fiji side after months off? Haha

Yeah, he's the first picked for NSW but he wont make the Fiji side
see right there you are missing the point.

Our for and against was woeful when compared to the other 2 teams that came first that year.
The biggest game of the year against the Storm minus Cameron smith ricky guided us to a 28 nil flogging.
He is riding on the coattails of his own success as a footy player.
You'll come to your senses eventually.
If we come equal first with a worse F&A than a massive salary cap cheating club, I wouldnt whinge. Fact remains, no coach has taken you further since Norm Provan.

Which is why his time at Cronulla sits uneasy with you. It was a successful year.

Two grand finals and an equal first MP with 2 clubs......

And he added Brett Mullins, Jason Cayless, Eric Grothe, Justin Hodges and David Kidwell.

But yeah, you keep tossing off over the all time great coach Steve Kearney
