Yet not one of you twats is championing Kearney for a coaching gig at your club.

ok, I get the 'this is Kearney's mess' argument. But, out of interest, at what point does dissatisfaction with the job that Stuart is doing begin for you?

"I'm cutting 12 of you next year. Heres the names up ion front of all your mates. Harden up"

The problem with that is that the blokes who you want and will be here next year, think you are a f**king merkin & the culture doesnt improve.

Stuart is clueless as to how to deal with people.

The round after next years third SOO if we are no higher than 10th ish.

Punting Kearney was the best thing that could happen. Even Brad Arthur was an improvement. Signing Sticky, a high profile coach, experienced, and the ability to attract players was a great move. We signed Kearney for 2 stupid reasons, and 1 valid one:

  1. To change the culture at the club to a more disciplined approach
  2. To attract Kiwi players and Cronk, and
  3. To get him before anyone else did.
On the market, it was really Sticky or Brian f*cking Smith again.

Sticky has already bettered Kearney in the recruiting. We also have had a huge injury toll which has affected everything but our front row. I think we have seen 9 first grade debuts.

We also have a board that is as stable as the Egyptian Parliament. Sticky has the personality/arrogance to handle that.

All of that is why its hard to find any Parra fan complaining about Sticky. Those that bag is for signing him have no f*cking idea how sad we were last year under Mooks. Sticky is not perfect. He's not Jack Gibson. He's simply better than our alternative, and I cannot fathom anyone who bags us for recruiting someone that is an improvement.

As I said, judge him next year with a competetive roster. If we come 10th-8th, and have some good bought or emerging talent for 2015, I'll be happy.

Didn't Kearney actually do better with the Eels last year?

He did, but to be fair, we had Hindmarsh and Burt (say what you want about Burt, but he is 150% better than any of our wingers this year, and 3,000% better than Mullaney).

A coach is judged on how he improves a player or a squad..Stuart has not improved Parra as individuals or as a squad..the fair weather Eels supporters are saying wait for next year..but as has been said before 4 new players does not make a club..the Parra team look like park footballers..a very boring brand of football, not a good luck for the NRL as a whole.

You can not polish a turd, but you can sprinkle some glitter on it, if that helps. But at the end of the day it's still a turd.

Sorry but I don't buy any of this "bad squad" bs. Ricky has a team of footballers to work with and is getting paid $800k a year to do something with them. It's obvious that from the word go, he'd given up on 2013 which is not good enough imo. Parramatta members deserve to at least be treated to some sort of effort from the squad when they show up to watch a game. If they genuinely try each week and come up short, then you can pull the "not good enough" excuse. When they show up without the effort and the excuses pre loaded, that's a joke.

When you rest your best player for three months because he's done a hammy... That's a disgrace. Parramatta fans are being taken for granted this year and you should all be blowing up deluxe.

Exactly, why would you take the job if you didn't think you could get the current squad at least competitive.

I dare say he took the job because no one was going to offer him anything else

Firstly, your club is paying him a lot of money for simply being 'better than the alternative'.

Historically, Sticky can not last at clubs, because he is too intense and he can not build a good squad. Look at his recruitment at the Roosters and Sharks. For every good buy, there would be a Corey Hughes FFS.

Even the Eels big signings are not really impressive. He has told half the squad he doesn't want them, but he won't be able to get rid of them or have anyone better to replace them with. He has a poisonous culture about him, and as much as I dislike Parra - I wouldn't wish this merkin on anyone.

I understand Loudy looking towards next season - after all what other choice do Parramatta fans have?

This is what I wrote on in an NRL thread on another forum in response to why you'd sack Sandow and leave Ben Roberts on the field..........

Because Ricky Stuart is a clueless gimp who can only manage teams that can manage themselves.

At the Roosters he had Fittler on the field and Cartwright off the field - once Cartwright left the writing was on the wall for Ricky's so called management career.

I was watching Parramatta against the Bulldogs and they were f**king woeful. Worse than they were last year. How many teams can you name that won the wooden spoon one year and were actually worse the following year?

They get dominated up front and make terrible defensive errors out wide. Sliding and running away from attackers when you're already on your try line

Winning policy right there......

Their off contract players for 2013 are Api Pewhairangi, Brayden Wiliame, Cheyse Blair, Matthew Eisenhuth, Jake Mullaney, Daniel Penese, Semi Radradra, Ben Roberts, Nathan Smith, Willie Tonga, Vai Toutai, Matt Keating, Taniela Lasalo.

Of that lot I can really only see them looking to keep Brayden Wiliame and possibly Vai Toutai. Remember that 12 players have been told they're not wanted for next season. I don't think you need to be a brain surgeon to work out who they are.

They have signed Gareth Hock, Will Hopoate, Lee Mossop, Corey Norman, Nathan Peats and Brendan Santi.

I have to say that their gains look to be far more promising than the players they're likely to release, but that still won't be enough to cover their deficiencies and make up for the terrible coaching that Ricky Stuart brings to the table. I wish Parramatta all the luck in the World. They'll f**king need it.

(I do wish to add to that)
On the plus side if they can get a decent coach they have the formula of a good team there. They have blooded some youngsters who will only improve for the experience (look at the Roosters in 2011 and 2012) - if they can grab a couple of extra players from somewhere and then get a decent assistant to help Ricky they could turn things around. They need a good prop and another gun second rower.
