Yabadabadoo. BUT, it all really means nothing if we don't win the next couple. Sharks have beaten a couple of good teams lately, and, Newcastle obviously just pumped the Storm and pumped the Roosters recently too, so its not a fait a compli by any means.

Looks like we'll be dodging cow shit for another week, still 6th place will still be a pretty good payoff if we win. Hopefully the Raiders get the Eels too and the pack will start to spread out a little below us. Id like to see us rack up a decent score and at lest close the +/_ gap on the Roosters though, that means we can overtake them when we play them later.

Pretty happy we managed to get one of the games to go our way tonight - they were all pretty one sided matches on paper. Probably unlucky not to have the Raiders hang on, but the Knights having that massive comeback in the last 2 minutes is probably more helpful anyway. 6th place if we win, should be great motivation to get out there and bag the points.

That was a bit close for comfort, we were pretty slack in that second half, but 6th spot is ours anyway for now. Plenty of motivation to improve and we'll need to be on our game to beat the knights.

I didn't think the Sharks would be a danger game, I was wrong. Hopefully lessons learnt from this game gives us a good chance in Newy, we've got a decent record there lately

Now we really are dreaming. Angry Titans upset the Roosters tomorrow. We win next week, against a side already out of the comp, and the Cowboys lose away on a cold, Monday night at Penrith Park, and we're fourth!

In hindsight I'd be happy today if we'd won by a creaky Sam Rapira* field goal on full-time.

Or whoever was least likely to slot one, and, more to the point, shouldn't have been made to!

It's quite incredible that there's five teams, from fifth to ninth, on 26 points.

That late 18-point blitz by Canberra better not cost us a crucial place in the finals pecking order!

Some big games this weekend to watch. I think the biggest one is Monday - Panthers v Cowboys. If we can get the win the day before, this is a win win game, either keeping the Cows down and letting us pass them, or pulling us right up in striking range of the Panthers (who play the Sea Eagles a couple of weeks later, and us the week after).

Those two games of ours, against the Roosters and Panthers, will massively determine if we can jump past them into the fabled top 4. I reckon there will only be 2 points between 4th and 8th (or 9th) quite possibly this year, whereas there is normally a fairly substantial gap.

As though either ever were. This week never looked much like having upsets go our way. Broncos losing was great, that has pushed them right back. Eels are well back now as well. Top the Knights off tomorrow and we are as good as safe I reckon.

30 points feels safer. As Eels win their final 2 of 3 (manly, knights, raiders) they on 30 points! Currently with a worse points diff.

Yeah it's a fight to make the finals at all after that one. Not just the loss of 2 points, but now we have zero momentum or confidence heading into the finals - if we even make it there.
