The Roosters effort yesterday

I've got to be honest, I thought there was a fair bit of effort put in by your side and the game was closer than the scoreline suggested.
I didn't think once we got out to 11-0 that you guys would win, I couldn't see you scoring 2 tries.

In saying that though, your defence in the 20m zone was quite good.

Sam Perrett is a quality player and he doesn't get the recognition he deserves.
Easily your best yesterday.
I also thought Pearce had a go yesterday too.

I like Shackleton, I'd start him ahead of both Mason & Myles.

I don't think it's all doom and gloom for you guys, in all seriousness if you play with the same attitude against the Sharks next week, then you will come up with another victory.

I have to say I gained a lot of respect for Pearce yesterday, I thought he put in a great effort under the circumstances.

As for the comments in here bagging our attack etc.... crush the sour grapes and have a nice big glass of wine.

Agree with both of you the roosters didn't play that badly yesterday their goaline defence was good but their attack=non existant.

Matthew head should be a contender for the worst kick of the year.

And we might not be an attacking machine but we don't have to be while our defence is so good.Better luck next year.

Certain players showed they simply are not up to scratch. Soliola, Sa, FPN in particular. The centres butchered everything they went near. Soward ran rings around FPN, he is simply too slow. Anasta shot himself in both feet for any chance at an Origin jersey with his worst performance in 2 years. Could be hard to recover from that.

Pierce played well all game and never gave up. At half-time with the score 9-0, I thought the Roosters might pull together to give Saints a run but they did not look like they would score in the second half. Mason, O'Meley and Anasta all played ordinary football.

at least in the forwards he isn't so easily exposed. He is one of the worst centres i've ever seen. The likes of Ben Pomeroy look like Mark Gasnier next to this guy. We need Mitch Aubusson back in the side ASAP.

Yep Sa looks flat this year. Well pretty much half our team does. If i can pinpoint certain players that need to play better in order it's, J Aubusson, Sa, Soliola, Myles, O'Meley.

I don't know about you guys but we seem to be very immobile. It's like we have too many big forwards running around. The team we put out there seems much more suited to wet conditions. Not enough finesse, guile and speed. We have power and strength, but what good is that when we can't catch our opponents?

And looking at our team, we don't have a true back rower with the exception of Mason. Every forward is a prop.

Yep, I'm impressed with Myles and we'll miss him for 8 games come Origin time. The 3 games themselves and the annual post Origin suspension that will surely follow.:?

I don't think he is easily our best forward so far, Shackleton would have something to say about that. At times Myles disappears but maybe when i watch him i probably don't notice him that much. I know he played well in the Warriors game but i didn't watch it live so i couldn't really appreciate the good work he'd done.

The Saints were far better than us. Both sides attacks were limited by the very narrow 10 meters, the refereeing was woeful. The referees allowed both sides to jump early and be actually 5 -7 meters away.

Saints got the jump on us early and were good enough to edge further ahead without looking very dangerous. The 2nd try from the intercept made the rooster players heads go down, up till then it was pretty even. 17 points down the rooster were demoralised. The 2 last trys were from poor kick chases from the roosters and the saints were good enough to capitalise.
I wouldn't have my money on the saints to win the comp on that performance.

I put money on us before the rorters that's for sure, you guys were total out played all over the park.

He was one of the stand outs for the Roosters.. If only he had a bit more speed he'd be real dangerous.
