Just unfookenbeilvable ! So the little sod is prepared to dig into his own pocket so as to leave the Dragons .

The bloke signed an extension for approx. $900,000 per season , just a shade under his touted $1 million per season original contract that Mary must had drawn up whilst taken this highway robber out for a joy ride on his jet-ski .

But enough of reminiscing , let’s get to the core of what Benny’s problem will be - where does he think he will be going to ? Titans , Brisbane , possibly even the rorters who could come into calculations with a last minute bid ?

Apparently he or his agent and another NRL club have had serious discussions about a mid-season move . Is that not what the NRL should be enquiring about . What makes the man believe that he will have a club to go to unless negotiations at some level or other have been going on whilst Benny is still under contract , a big fat juicy $900k a year contract ?

The Dragons hierarchy should not be going through this , this mess is of another club’s making and the NRL should do the correct thing for the Dragons just this once and thoroughly investigate the matter .
Whatever happens here , Sullivans promotion to 7 must be protected and we just don’t replace Hunt with another halfback. The Brimson + quality forward is our best scenario.

Who are the short list of players that would have gone nuclear at no7 for the dragons?

I see gaps but I also see a very dogged and determined no7 in Hunt and if he had some serious FB and edge options ………. Well that would nice

not to mention a forward pack that can hold field position 50/50

My advice to people is to stop reading the trash they call journalism in regards to Hunt for a while.

Let him play the game he cares about on Wednesday then let Flanagan get in his ear and talk it out.
The club has denied his advances to leave which is 100% the correct call for now. He has no legal right to leave unfortunately for him. That he wants to leave, well I can't really blame him for that as we are circus.

Reading all the garbage out there is only going to anger you more and waste your time - it's two thirds made up drivel in any case.

Who will he be replaced with before the year is out? We have a spoon to avoid.
So is the logic to keep Hunt to avoid the wooden spoon?
We are currently in the position of struggling to avoid the spoon with Hunt leading us.
Ben and Hook have slowed the development of the young ones.
In attack Ben always overplays his hand taking most of the plays and we are the most boring team to watch.
His final tackle options are mostly abysmal.
IMO we have the remaining year to let Amone, Bud and Herring to play together and build combinations.
Sully can be the playmaker to lead the attack, just let him play without a controlling Hunt.
We will see the best of Amone with Hunt in the halves.
Herring will be the backup, slowly building his confidence and developing his craft.
We do not need Hunt.

Coming off the bench.
Do you think his ego would allow that? Perhaps a clause or a statement that Walters and Maam are young, and so they shold bide their time like he did? Or perhaps a big FU when he states he'll play wherever he's picked.

I think Benny and his ego could really derail a currently successful donkey's season. Now, that would be great to see

This Year?

Wouldn't it just. They are in a great position this season and seeing them fluff it from here would be delicious.

Just my sense of humour, my mates always call us the chokers, I just ran with it, (it's been a long time since I could put up a good argument) 😄
Oh please! We haven't choked since the 2009 semi final series! The 2011 season wasn't a choke because Uncle Wayne had already clocked out mid-way through the season, and we never recovered from origin. We haven't choked since then because we've been crap, except for a small victory in the 2018 semi finals where we flogged the donkeys, and were beaten on the back of three field goals from Adam Reynolds in the next game, with the last one in the 79th minute. In no way can this be considered a choke because we were expected to be flogged by the donkeys in the previous week- we exceeded all expectations to even play souths, let alone push them to the absolute limit. Can anyone remember who executed a questionable last minute play in that game? One clue-think of the Canberra game this year. The more things change, the more they stay the same. This game was also famous for the peanut's comment "85 minutes from a grand final". I truly hated him as a coach, but some of comments and excuses make me laugh today, although they made me want to throttle him at the time.

Normal transmission resumed in 2019, and so none of the years, including this year, can be considered a choke.
