I don’t whether he’s had a bag fitted or not but most people with this disease do. That means that hard contact physical sport is out. You couldnt risk a bag accident on the field. I might be wrong and I really hope i am, but to me , top level NRL would be out for him
If it was in the large bowl, a j-pouch can be attached to the anus. This gives a "normal"function but always lose. Stomas are put in as this transition happens . Takes around 18mths

There'll be all sorts of rumours running around a combination of both a new coach coming on board and the fact we are stuck to the bottom of the ladder.

Flanno is sorting out our squad - there will be many told the same. No mucking about. Only want the right players to fill the positions who are prepared to give their all.

Hunt will be sorted. He isn't required. Even when he didn't have the humps, he wasn't a world beater. I want a captain that bleeds red and white like Hornby and Creagh etc. not an outsider like Hunt who has not given his "soul" to the Dragons.
Having a local junior as our captain is ideal however, it is more important that we have a player with leadership skills, with good decision-making skills, and a person who the rest of the team will follow.

It must be that Flanno has already spoken one to one to the players and now knows who he wants to keep and who to let go. I'm confident he will get value with any future trade. Although I had hopes that Lomax would pull his head in and stay.

We are in this mess because the BOD has made so many poor decisions:
1. Extending Griffin when we had a ready replacement in Flannagan.

2. Appoint Haran when he seems to not have a clue about how to manage the football side of the club and/or how to successfully recruit the best available players.

3. Extending Hunt when there were other halves available at the time.

4. Not following the general rule of replacing like for like or better when recruiting players.

5. Not ensuring that our spine is stacked with high profile players.

6. Not ensuring our pack of forwards is comprised of big hard-nosed, fast, and talented players.

7. Not making sure that our backline has speed.

8. Most of all, not ensuring we have competent fitness staff who know how to prepare an NRL team to be able to compete for 80 minutes each week.

Is this true? Seems a poor call if so. Definitely has limitations but a whole hearted player
Most probably over-stepped the mark during a chat with Flannagan and so, Flannagan has found a more suitable player to take his place. The main thing for the Club is that we are not stuck subsidizing players who leave. Do a trade each time or if we can't, have the subject player play reserve grade until the player realizes that Flanno is no push-over.

Agree but it is all about value for $$$. Something many supporters are hoping Flanno will address (and he has already started) and our clubs elephant in the room
+ on field Lomax is not well liked by opposing sides due to carry on in tackles and niggling and is targeted. Something Flanno has noticed and said in commentary to a lesser degree in commentary past year or so.
If the $800K is true (must of been backended stuff becuase he started at 600K) well then Flanno is well within his right to start cleaning up the clubs mess now it all falls on his shoulders.

Would have like to see how Zac would go under a coach. He may not be an out and out speedster which these days is what’s required out wide but I like Zac . I alway thought he would make a lock with his size and his defence is pretty solid. Wonder if we could make him our new Benny Creagh. Now that is a player we’d all want Zac to become

According to Flanagan on 2GB yesterday the article by Buzz is not correct.
Briefly, he said that Lomax remains a part of his plans for 2024 and he will not be leaving.
"I’ve spoken to Zac and I want to work with him, I want to improve him and he needs to play better underneath me and that’s my job.

"I will probably leave it at that… we won’t be contributing in letting any players go."

Is Zac Lomax leaving the Dragons?

At this stage, Flanagan has indicated Lomax will be remaining at the Red V next year.

The Temora product is signed until the end of 2026 on a big-money deal and has played 87 games for the club since making his debut five years ago.

Zac Lomax salary

According to The Daily Telegraph's Rich 100 list published recently, Lomax is on an estimated $700,000 per year at the Dragons in 2023.

Lomax's deal will likely increase in the coming years, with The Sporting News understanding the former Australian Schoolboys standout could earn up to $800,000 later in his deal.

But Buzz said today he rang Flanno last night and said the story he wrote is on the mark too. IT is down to Zac if he wants to leave, not Flanno pushing him out the door. We will not chip in for his salary to another club.
So can Zac get 800K or near that elsewhere at a better club. If not he stays. Simple
And if you listen again Flanno basically cconfirmed it was true but danced around it publicly by basically saying Zac get on my bus if you want and happy to have you...or get a taxi.

Yep in other words who ever wants to go and negotiate contracts can ...... As long as The Dragons don't loose out ...... As for the Hunt saga it's far from over in my view ........

I would go off what Flanno says and not Buzz. If Flanno wants him at the club then he will keep him. He may even get Hunt. For Flanno to have to clarify on 2GB within 24 hours of the story shows how reliable that story is. Why would Flanno lie. The media are really just trying to create another week of drama for Saints.

For what my view of Lomax is worth, I don't think that he is creative enough and lacks the zest that the better centres at several other clubs have. He just does not threaten and look dangerous enough for me. He is easily read, he doesn't have a swerve or an effective dummy, then whoosh which is what I like to see a centre have. A good centre like Val Homes, who has the in and away and swerve and strength and dash to make a decent break and then pass to his winger is all that is needed and Lomax just doesn't have it.

If Lomax stays, I don't think that Flanno can teach him any of those things. They have to be natural so that he can do the things without thinking and be second nature. He should be replaced by someone who can provide this.
