And all the while I can't help but thinking how good we could be, as both a team and a club. We have the potential to be as big (if not bigger) than the Panthers, Broncs, Storm etc. Our heritage, geographical location, fanbase etc. So much potential currently in the hands of amateurs. I too have high hopes that Flanno can lead us from the wilderness, and I am prepared to give him a big go.

I would take Townsend...if the cows offered up extra money to compensate the swap.

Again, I trust that flanno has someone in mind for 25...

P.S I will also add we are targeting some serious players.... there is a lot going on in the background...

We are talking to players for 25...Squad will look very different if flanno gets his way...can't say anymore... There are a few hints in J.A

I know a lot on here have mentioned you need to have ad blockers off to join JA, but even without an ad blocker I can't seem to join. Is it possible to join, or is it more an invite sort of situation?

Would solve the Fullback dilemma and an exc goal kicker
Payton may decide to off load a few to serve notice to all at the Club
Hopefully Deanos all over it

I'm at the stage that I dont care what Hunt does, whatever damage to his reputation and the Dragons reputation has been done. Its up to the players, the BOD and Flanno plus other coaches to restore it. My only major concern is the captaincy, he shouldnt have it , its embarrassing, he doesnt inspire on the field and even if he did why would the rest of the team follow him knowing he wants out. I agree the Dragons didnt deliver on the promises they made him, and he didnt deliver on the performances required. Draw a line in the sand, it starts from here, shut your gob, start performing and earn the respect from the loyal Dragons fans again, because a marquee player on a million bucks a year should deliver on being a marquee player, not throw stones in glass houses.

Well we know that Hunt has said that "at this stage, I'll be heading back to the Dragons for the pre-season" and "will participate in the Dragons' pre-season program" as per an article written by a WWOS staff member. Hunt has said that "when you keep having setbacks, it gets a bit harder to get out of bed each day".

I understand that not winning and not having the players that were "promised" months ago is making it hard for Hunt to get excited, but he should be as positive as possible for the club so that we can get these better players and say he is staying because he has a contract and really be pushing our barrow moreso now. Once we can get a decent signing, others could follow.

We need at least 4-5 decent signings - another middle forward, edge forward, fullback, 5/8th and faster/taller winger.

Captaincy privileges definitely should be taken away from Hunt now. The reduction in responsibility might help him to perform better and that will make it easier for him to get picked up by another club.

Yes, I suppose I have carried on a bit getsmarty and I take your advice and i will give the Hunt stuff a good rest. I hope the journos will do the same.

Is it just me?. I would love Holmes but is he not best to play centre or wing instead of fullback. Did not the Cowboys try that experiment and it did not work. Same with SOO he is best on the flanks.

Agreed, best fit is definitely centre. I can't see Moses Suli being retained, damaging ball runner, but doesn't have the fitness to play in the forwards, can't set up his winger and just doesn't have any variation to his game. Holmes would be a suitable replacement for him in my opinion
