Well, that's disappointing. Other Sydney clubs will have another year to prepare their cap for him, and if we have competitors for his signature then, well, we're in trouble. We don't ever win a race for a player other clubs want. I suppose it's early days and he could still agitate again for next year, but that's unlikely the warriors will agree. I think he could've instantly turned us into a finals threat next year. A 7th or 8th finish would have been plausible. Oh well, back to reality
There is nothing appealing about wanting to play for us. We have a geniused board. We are mediocre. And we train out of Wollongong and Kogarah which is a pain in the ass if you live in one of those cities and have to travel to the other. We are a dead set rabble

We might of changed the coach but everything else looks the same as last year. Just like last year we need a 5/8, a fullback, and a couple of big forwards. Just like last year we've signed the reserve grade hooker from one of the bottom teams. Just like last year there's lots of talk about who we'd like to get but no big signings yet. It's like deja vu all over again.
Edit, just saw AFB no longer available.

OK, so sign him for 2025! Give us something to look forward to.
No stuff him. Target other forwards
Want out release yesterday compassion urgent , I can stay today
PM's doing their thing in the media for whatever reason
Wonder how Warriors supporters are feeling. We will call these releases from now on the "Hunt" move.
Worth good coin Yes. But $1m ?. Not sure..anyway, had a good year and developed a jink and a step but thats it for me. See how he fares in 2024.
Dont get me wrong he would benefit our side a lot but..................for me I am bauking at $1m
Not quite as good as Haas, JFH, Leota, Tino, Jurbo, Collins and his captain IMO but next tier

Maybe the Warriors' CEO Cameron George told AFB at their meeting today that for 2024, the Warriors will bring his parents to NZ and pay for their accommodation and see how things go from there. Set them up in a nice place so that AFB can spend time with them over there so that he doesn't have to keep going over the ditch to see them. One day wants out, next day talked out of it through some compassion by the Warriors.

You are exactly right Dragon D.
If they can convince him to stay for one season, there is every chance he will see out his contract until 2026.
Just waiting now as during the lead up to Christmas Fonua-Blake will not be the last player to either request an immediate release or be tapped by their club due to salary cap pressures.
North Queensland are just one club that could struggle to squeeze everyone in for 2024/25.
