All of a sudden he has had one good game and everyone wants to sign him .......
Just simply wrong. He was by far and away our best forward when he first came here. May have dropped off in 2023, but so did a lot of players. He is now playing well again. It's not one good game at all. Plus, you add the fact that there are zero quality middles on the open market to go for (May will re-sign at roosters), the fact that F Molo is our only impact middle with his strength and leg drive, and he becomes a pretty important part of our pack. The drop off is huge if he isn't in the team.

100% keep for me. One of our only real impact middles. Fifita might be the other, but is only young and getting eased into the NRL. Hopefully he stays. I would also consider making a play for Stefano at the Tigers. If they miss the finals which is near certain, it activates an option for him to leave. Publicly he said a few months ago he was "all in", but if that was true, why have that clause in the contract? His opinion about being all in may well change after a full season under Benji who has zero qualification being a coach
I really liked the look of Samuela Finau for the Tigers. He is going to be one of the comps best front rowers

Played well in both trials and also in round 1.
Yep but what about the last couple of years ? I don't have a problem with him and hope he continues to play well , but gee funny how things can change with a proper coach ...... Have posted this before that I think Flanno can improve each player by 10 , 20 , and 30 percent more we will be competitive ....... Hope it continues with all players .......

Mate I was calling for him to pick his game up for a while , as you say a good coach can bring out the best in all of them ...... Let's now see if they can continue ....... It has to be better this year .......

I’ve banged on about this before but I’d love to see him come on off the bench and use his power up against tired legs. In the past we haven’t had any other options for starting front row but now we have. Especially so if Sele gets fit and ready. I think he’d be great at soaking up the early pressure and letting Molo do some real damage. He’s a keeper for me.

Not just with a proper coach Illusion but when you are at the end of your contract, the manager says well its time to step it up and showcase your skills, equals more money for you and me !!!

I feel like you guys are asking the wrong question.. Its not a question of 'if' we keep fmolo.. Its how much are we willing to pay?

If we were offering AFB 1.2mil, what are we going to pay for someone who might yet prove to be our best prop currently? I can promise that the dogs and co will come up with ridiculous offers..

And if we choose to let him go, what r we gonna do instead?

All I can say has it is funny how often players performance goes to another level in contract renewal year

100%... Su'a going at 150% even during the trials.. Lomax knows he is being courted by other clubs also..

It could be good for us in the short term mind you, it's this shortage of middles on the market that scares me with frank.. Hadn't clicked previously that we would need to compete with others..

We have young Fafita that will be more capable, Tuitavake looks a good prospect, Lawrie, Sele, MMolo maybe and JDB that could fit in there. So things are not all that bad if he goes.

This is bang on.

I have over time come to the understanding that there is a method to Flannos madness. He is trying to instill pride in the jersey whilst not bowing to the wishes of the disgruntled IF there is no option.

Initially, his defence of Hunt was frustrating as I saw it only through supporters eyes. That is, you wanna leave, the piss off.

Will be interesting to see what he can achieve, when he gets a collective team that actually wants to play for the Club. Right now, it's damage control.

My rumour is:
After watching Viliami Fifita appearing to be emotional on the shoulders of Sulli after the Titans game, I'm guessing he has no regrets in joining this great club now.
Further more, being at the game & watching him a lot off camera, this kid looks like he will be a star, he has tremendous speed off the mark & looked like he was rushing in to put some low driving big hits on at times, in the Olakautatu mould.
He's a gooddennn..........

DT reporting that Tamale is yet to agree to a new deal with us and is attracting interest from Parra. The whole Lomax situation will have a ripple effect on what happens next with Tamale I would imagine.
I would rather tamale go than lomax. By the time lomax or suli’s contract is up Hayden Buchanan should be developed enough to take over that emerging centre role
